  1. okay this is weird, i have a '76 Mintgrün 02 and a Subaru wagon too (albeit a Liberty RS Turbo one) but thats still pretty weird. you have great taste sir! I'm tossing up on the Euro plates we can get in Australia, or reprints of the period correct Australian B&W plates that ranged up until 1980 or so. We have a lot of options for registration plate styles here.
  2. i'd remove the pedal box and reseal. use either silastic or some of the waterproof rubber/foam sticky tape you can buy from clark rubber. i used that stuff for my fuel tank.
  3. the button (i assume its the button side on a LHD car) has 2 or 3mm threaded holes in it for small set screws to stop it sliding out. i got a new shifter plate from Blunt or ebay or somewhere for about $100.
  4. my 390mm nardi isnt exactly 'sporty' but i think it suits pretty well.
  5. Momo and Nardi are 6x70mm and 6x74mm respectively. Luisi make a really good aftermarket boss with both PCD's, thats what i use.

    that looks great
  7. are you on facebook simoen? we had a discussion about these as soon as they popped up.
  8. try flipping everything so that the plate that holds the pivot is on the bottom.
  9. i had this same problem, so i took out the lower spring pads and filed new locating grooves into the underside to sit over notch on the trailing arm. because of this i was able to rotate the spring position to give it just enough lift on the low side to even it out a bit.
  10. i just fitted early wheels to a squarelight. the backside of the face between the slots jusssst hit the front outer caliper bleed nipple (a new replacement nipple via Bluntech that doesn't screw all the way in) so i added 5mm spacers to the front to be sure. I prefer the look of the early wheels. DSC_0101 by Jace B., on Flickr
  11. stock, just lowered with some wheels.

    tuned for winter
  14. you could add some chrome back to the poor thing
  15. why the heck not? a well styled trailer would be great to have behind an 02. if i was you, i'd make sure to use a clean roundie shell for a trailer just to annoy the naysayers a bit more.
  16. i recently experienced exactly this, turned out the head was machined (probably 0.020") but the timing cover wasn't. i took 0.5mm off it on a mill at work and it's all good now, of course with a new round of gaskets.
