  1. nope, turns out there's a few miserable old purists. who would've thought?
  2. that's a lot on money to keep your car M10. Cascone Autosport know their M10's https://www.facebook.com/pages/Cascone-Auto-Sport/138046813015409?fref=ts
  3. We have an Australian group on the faq http://www.bmw2002faq.com/groups/16-australia-owners-club/ And the Facebook group you'll find a link to in the forum group description. I've used Blunt for all my replacement parts and shipping has been okay, but I'm used to it having owned nothing but German made '60s/'70s cars. Wallothnesch orders will usually arrive in one week which is pretty damn quick, but Jaymic stuff will take the longest imo. I would've thought you could get a gasket set locally at least, often the more serious parts/tool supply places are worth trying.
  4. Not necessarily Watanabe, at least two other companies used that same wheel frame, and the 'Falcon' script is etched/embossed. Still a very cool steering wheel, but not Watanabe.
  5. Yeah, just an alarm, probably wired to the ignition wiring up at the ignition barrel too.
  6. there are two boosters on the right...
  7. I'm currently daily-driving my '76 after my Subaru Liberty daily driver was stolen from out the front of my house at about 5am. That was on the 12th of May and I still haven't heard anything. I can't imagine the audacity/idiocy it takes to steal a unique, rare or very distinguishable classic. I know exactly how it feels and it's truly gutting. I'd really enjoy taking a pruning saw to the theifs hands, for example. I hope you have better luck than I have, and that the car is returned to you in a reasonable condition.
  8. mine took me on the end of 6ft of breaker bar bouncing pretty damn hard to crack it loose. imo you're better off re-assembling it to undo that nut.
  9. Scrape out with a pick/scribe/blade and then brush some clear-coat in the seam. At least it's not grains of sand trapped in there, that looks REALLY shitty, ask me how I know. Powdercoat requires the same prep as paint, if not more, but because of his high adhesion a lot of shops half-ass the prep process. Not to mention it being a pretty thick single coat, which will make issues with the prep more obvious than if it was slowly built up thin coats (ie. paint)
  10. RHD Clutch Master cylinder - 21521104269 Ti/SA wheels or just the regular 1500/2000TiLux/2000CS 14" steel wheels - 36114634020 RHD dashboards, RHD carpet sets....
  11. Somewhat importantly, the wheels look undamaged. This is such a shame, your car was a really nice example and surely won't be easy to replace.
  12. a 12 year bump, just for that?
  13. these are littered all over Australia, not hard to find in Isuzu (Holden) Gemini sizing, 4x100 15x6.5/7 etc.
  14. BBS RA from MK2 Golf GTI? 15" isn't 'period correct' regardless of what design you want
  15. i cleaned my standard filter thoroughly with thinners and a paint brush and it came up as good as new.
