Working on mounting the Daniel Stern headlight relays and fuses. I used the engine bay headlight covers from @AceAndrew!

I didn’t want the wires/relays in the engine bay, wanted them accessible and as compact as possible. I found this automotive grade relay/fuse box from TE Connectivity/Amp. It’s waterproof as well.

Wires, another Relay and two 25 amp fuses will get inserted/wired up next. I have enough relief so I can swing Andrew’s panel out of way to get to the headlight.

seems like a good solution.

Its primed now. I will paint it Agave. And the air cleaner is primed and ready for RAL 7043.

Oh that's nice.

I might do that when mines ready to  be put back together .....

What is the silver cylinder and the rectangular shaped box in pic 5?

Gotta love your question, for a guy who tore the car down to the metal and rebuilt it I must admit I get a C- on being able to ID EVERYTHING.  But I would have gotten it right if it was multiple choice?  The answer is the rectangular box is the Regulator and the cylinder is the Horn Relay.    This is a 1970 6 fuse system - and almost all of the wires are original and in great condition.  Thanks for the comprehension check!

I guess if I get to driving this car instead of restoring it I might learn a lot more!!!

Ha don't worry, mine is torn down to bare metal too and I don't know what they are 😂.

Mine is slightly different. I only have the the square one .it's in a bag marked " horn relay????? " !

And yea the question marks are on the bag 😂😂

Inspired by a bunch of the work posted lately I got off my butt and wrapped up some small things.

Tore apart my console looking for a rattle I had last Summer. Nothing obvious so far. Will dive in deeper.

Rebuilt my headlight adjusters with the IE kit. Quick coat of gloss black paint also.

Cleaned up the engine compartment and steel wooled the relays, just some little stuff.

I've been looking for a Vintage license plate bracket with no luck, so I bought this for now.

To Due List is better air filter set up for the DCOE's, looking at ITG filter and finally getting my Recaro's mounted.

That steel wool treatment looks good! I’ve been trying to figure out how to clean mine. I’ll do this! Thanks for the idea.

Well, worked on my center console: shortened the face plate for better access to the storage shelf, cleaned up the ripped up sides best I could (driver condition), redid the U speed clips and screws (JB Weld may have been involved).  Added some of the brown carbon to tie it all together.
Now it sits tight to the underside of dash (was loose and crooked), gives me better access to the storage and feels more open. Also while out of the car I fixed the hazard switch so yay!

I’m pretty happy with the results.

I have a medium length list of things I "need" to do before spring, and a shorter list of things I "want" to do.  Funny how the "want" list gets done first.  One small baby step towards a "ti" transformation.  I installed the Kienzle clock tonight.

I placed an order for an ITG backing plate and filter this week. The backing plate will be 5-6 weeks as they don’t keep them in stock with 2002/Pinto DCOE spacing.

That's good to know, thanks.  I liked the setup that was on a BaT  02 last week .

He had the Kooglewerks DCOE elbows and ITG filter but it's a bit pricey at almost $600. for an air filter set up.

My Ram Air foam filters air getting tired and they  tend to drop down the elbow and cut off the air flow.

ITG looks to be one of the better filters will have to check my options.

I could be okay with just a blank ITG backing plate also.

Drove the car. First time really using it for errands since I bought it in October.

Mid drive my wipers turned on all on their own. Didn't realize Id bumped the stalk and couldn't figure out how to get them to stop lol. 1972 2002tii

Check distance/spacing between carbs, will vary with make of manifold. There wasn’t a ready made backplate for my Mangoletsi manifold so had to buy a blank one.

Wrestling with guilt today, poor Franzi! How could I let this happen to you?

Even if I was living on another continent for all those years, I should have never handed you over to the ex!

Should have kept you and provided safe shelter all that time....😢

Looking at major work here starting with the engine bay, cant drop a fresh engine into that....

Next step is to rig something up to roll the body around/ get it off the lift, outside for cleaning.

That firewall insulation piece is coming off... I scared...😳
