Hate to say it but @2002iii is probably right.  The generation coming up is all in on electric conversions.  My oldest son is working on his undergrad in ME.  I guarantee you that once he inherits my '71 he will begin an electric conversion IMMEDIATELY  He's already dropped hints trying to feel me out about doing it now.

First of all really nice build getting it by TUV is no small feat, 120 mile range is equal to a Nissan leaf which is a good start, I wonder if most of the trunk battery would fit under the rear seat? Imagine 120 mph in a 02 and the loudest noise is the tires. Looks like fun IMO.

I missed that! Did they actually say it weighed 6,000 lbs. (or equivalent kilos)? I figured with only 1 motor and half the batteries of a Model 3 or Y, it would be 3,500 - 4,000 lbs….

Terry Sathyer has one for sale it was built by Moment Motors in Austin…Tesla batteries from wrecked cars, it’s very cool Colorado orange… tell him I sent you maybe I’ll get a commission….
