  1. Thanks. Used the lart numbers and was able to get them from the local BMW dealer for $16
  2. Finished up some trim: now time for the headliner. Anyone know where to get the plastic grommets that the headliner supports/bars go into? All mine broke into a million pieces.
  3. Sorry to bump an old thread but any chance for another round of these?
  4. Ive felt in over my head multiple times on this but keep pushing through and have amazed myself at how much i have learned. However not sure i would want to do another 🤣
  5. Thanks getting excited. Should be heading your way soon for drivetrain install with Matt. Hoping to be ripping it up Bogus by middle to end of summer.
  6. Installed the grills on my car. First time the exterior is looking complete since i took her apart 2.5 years ago.
  7. Thanks for the share of my IG account. If anyone has questions please feel free to message me as im happy to answer them. IG is usually quicker as I'm on there more often then FAQ but also I check PMs on here as well occasionally. As for the quality its top notch. If you look at anything Paul does its above and beyond as his craftsmanship is his art and he treats it that way. Just look at his personal 2002 builds and the amount of detail work in each. When Bart @ the Resto Shop did all the body work on my car the SOC parts needed very little work but Paul had done all the installation previously to Bart getting the car.
  8. Got this complete this weekend finally!!! Thanks for such an amazing write up. if anyone has a suggestion on the best thread for doing the adjustments please post it below.
  9. Hi Guys, I was looking for the part numbers for the small trim that is riveted in to the body within the door jams that the rubber seals mount to. I think I found it on real OEM, but GetBMWParts is saying its discountinued. Is that the case or are these the wrong numbers?
  10. Thanks for confirming that. Maybe i can email MCMaster about the white ones and just suck it up and order the black ones from BMW
  11. Also based on realoem the black ones look like they are available from BMW but if the white ones are #5 above they are not.
  12. i think the black ones are for #20 in the image below but not sure what the white ones are used for. I havent gotten into the install yet as was just trying to make sure ingather all the parts first.
  13. i think the 2nd ones might work but the the first i dont think will as it needs to 1/4” OD with 5/32” ID (i guess thats the diameter of a #8 screw) and 1/4” long. thanks for showing me these though
  14. i looked but couldnt find the sizes. But i feel like their site is hard to navigate so maybe looking in the wrong place 🤷🏻‍♂️
  15. Hi Karl, is that for these: or the rubber grommets that go in the door locks? As im looking for those above that go in the glass.
  16. anyone know where to get the nylon bushings that are needed and detailed in the article???
  17. Sorry to bump and old thread but I tired PMing Mike but it says he can’t accept messages. Does anyone have a step by step guys for door reassembly they can share?
  18. hahaha. Been so warm and dry up here this year. Don’t even have one day on the mountain yet this year. and thanks for the kind words.
  19. Got the taillights back in since the trim rings came back from polishing as well as installed the 2002 emblem and mvp tail trim. Now just needs the trunk lock and and SOC bumper installed.
  20. This. My KWs were built with spring rates that I provided. However with that said they don't have any caster adjustment which the new Son Of Cobra / Ground Control / MCS coilovers do: Ground Control Suspension on Instagram: "We’re thrilled to finally present our latest collaboration with a longtime favorite builder of ours - @thesonofcobra Paul is a man of detail.
