I ran a pump off the Tii connector for 2 years, recently it finally singed the connectors due to the draw. As documented on this site I upgraded the wire and installed a relay from the battery

Where did you get the inertial switch from?

Dunno about his specifically, but you can get them from autozone or advance auto parts or whatever. I asked around and found an auto parts store that had them. Got the cheapest one they had, which TBH for what it was was kind of expensive. Intermotor S9300 is the one I got.

Inertia switches are readily available on Fords at your local junk yard or Pick and Pull.

Crown Vic’s and Tarus switches are located in the trunk, while SUVs and truck switches are found in the left kick panel.

happy shopping.

Driving the car this afternoon, came across some hotty driving a very clean '14 Scooby STI.  Played some stoplight grand prix, she invited me to dinner.  Told me about her new car, how before that she had a Boxster S (but didn't really like it), had an MR2 Spyder (didn't really gel with that one either), had a hopped up Mini S before that- and how she loved hot hatches- so she got the STI and really likes it.  It was a nice dinner.  Don't tell my wife.

And now I apparently have a very clean, 2 owner, 78k mile 2000 Porkchop Boxster S for sale if you know anyone...

The only Ford part in my car...

is the winter weight.  Today came first snow. About 10 cm so i figured it’s time to put her in the trunk. I wrapped her in old work overalls as some decency has to be maintained. She is a bit on a slim side weighing 33.5 kg but together with battery i’m all good.

wonder if part of why you singed it is because as the pump aged the bearing surface wear caused more resistance and the pump drew more current.

It was a 2 year old 5 series pump, just more draw then oem 16 gauge wire could handle

maybe a stock Tii pump has less draw

Wait! Is that your windshield washer reservoir in the trunk? If so, does it feed anything beyond the windshield, such as a headlight washer?

Yes. And no, it only pumps fluid to windshield. It is from E30 325i.

Nice! What did you use for bulbs?

Just basic replacements I ordered about 7 years ago when I redid the cluster.. Osram/Sylvania I think.

But probably the reason it looks nice 'n shiny is that I just had it out two months ago to fix my speedo and I cleaned everything and polished the glass. When I originally rebuilt, I also sprayed the inside of the cluster with super-white paint and that seems to help a bunch.

I was sure I would need to have my sun visors recovered since I replaced the headliner... Thanks to@nyNick and his goop magic I'm finally ready to reinstall them. Thank you for helping to keep the sun out of my eyes and the money in my pockets!

A redline a day keeps the carbon away? First redline(s) since the rebuild. I've put enough miles on it now that I am comfortable starting to really drive. Wow! The 292 opens up quite a bit at the high RPMs!

@Bibm5 I have old dead mold stains all over my headliner and visors...  What is this goop stuff you speak of?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,
