Don't know, My M10 is in cold storage.  I use an Iridium Denso plug in the S14.

I have talked to the Customer Service rep.  Maybe they have an explanation what the selections mean.

A radiator shop is a good place to take a leak.

I have no idea what I'm doing but I know I'm really good at it.

FWIW, Champion N9YC are still available too.

I used these when I did my first maintenance on the 02 after buying it. They were in the trunk unused along with a box of old Valvoline all climate 20w50 motor oil in cans which I thought was pretty awesome!

I used to run Champions before I switched to NGKs.

Beru non-resistor plugs are also still available, though the ones listed on the Owner’s Manual are NLA. They’re more popular overseas than here.

I’ve run the Beru Ultra Z22 copper plug which is their replacement before, though I’m tempted to try their newer Ultra Plus Titan UPT8 when I run out my NGKs.

Where we goin’? … I’ll drive…

Just went out and pulled a plug out of  Survivor.. Oh God No! its the dreaded NGK BPR6ES!

Whats going to happen?

Is the coil going to burst? Plug wires melt? Will I lose a percentage of a percent of power?? Nooooo!?

They are a little sooty actually.

These Autolites may be a viable replacement and cheap but wondering if the post cap is removable to fit the 02 wires.

May have to buy one to find out.

Probably have some melon vendor hawking the BP6ES in classifieds for $19.95EA within a month.

Gentlemen (and ladies)

AFAIK plugs don't "age out" like antifreeze or brake fluid.  I have spark plugs in some of my (limited use, vintage) cars that are at least 30 years old and work just fine.  They do wear out, of course, but so long as they're not hopelessly carboned up or saturated with fuel from flooding (and even these can be dried out and re-used) they'll be fine.

I find it odd that no one mentioned Bosch plugs as a substitute...I used 'em all the time until about 10-15 years ago, when I put a set in my Nissan truck just before a trip, only to have a persistent misfire.  changed 'em for a set of NGKs in the motel parking lot and haven't used Bosch since.  Have any of y'all had problems with Bosch plugs recently?

PS--with an electronic ignition system (Delta, MSD etc) plugs should go 30k + miles in a good (minimum oil burning) engine.

I tried Bosch plugs about 5 years ago, but I also had a dud among the four and rather than mixing I went back to NGK. Changed to iridium plugs a few years ago, would have to check my receipts as to how old they are now...

But they have few Miles, so I anticipate running them a few more years...wont even touch them until a compression test is warranted.

I used them a lot as well but a recent search (yesterday) failed to turn up much except defaults to NGK.

Guess I will look a bit more, never had a problem with them.

Changed up my search and found several Bosch copper electrode plugs touted for our cars. They are out there anywhere from $1.50 ea to $8.00 ea.

BluntTech carries Bosch and NGK in a few flavors?

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
