Recommended Posts

Let's see some 2002 ancient history pictures ..... I'll start ......

November 1978 ....... my '74tii ...... my sister and her '74tii ...... both pictures taken in Thousand Oaks, CA.

I had owned mine 4 years, my sister owned hers 1 year.

We still own 'em and drive 'em regularly.

Here is my tii soon after I bought it in 1987.  This is in my parent's driveway in St. Charles, Ill.  I was heading into my senior year of college.

You can see our '75 Pontiac Grandville Brougham convertible in the garage.  I liked that car a lot.

The pics were taken by a Kodak Instant Camera.

Just drove my car yesterday in the 93 degree heat.  Good times.

First photo: Late 1974 - My Chamonix sunroof ‘70 2002, after some hoodlum youth (that would be me) learned about trailing throttle understeer the hard way.

Second photo: June 1975 - My Sahara ‘67 1600-2. I swapped off the original hub caps and separate trim rings for the more “modern” full wheel covers.

Third photo: July (?) 1975 (the rhododendrons in full blossom in the second photo are largely faded by this time) - A totaled Sienabraun-metallic sunroof ‘74 2002A I parted in 1975.

Fourth photo: February 1977 - My Polaris metallic ‘76 2002, still wearing its original Pennsylvania Bicentennial license plates.

Fifth photo: February 1977 - My ‘76 on an ill-conceived trip from Philly, PA to Rochester, NY, in mid-winter.

Sixth photo: February 1977 - My ‘76’s right rear corner, after it encountered an aggressive guardrail on a slippery uphill slope, on that I’ll-conceived trip to Rochester.

Seventh photo: April 1977 - My ‘76, taken by a talented and well-trained buddy with a Toyo 4” x 5” format view camera.

Eighth photo: March(?) 1978 My ‘76 missing its fog lights and one fog light guard, just back from the body shop to replace the nosepiece and right front fender (yes, once again, my bad!).

Ninth photo: August 1983, New Haven, CT - My ‘76 in August 1983, as I’m preparing to take it out of daily driver duty.

Tenth photo: 1997 - My ‘76, brought out of the garage for its annual Pennsylvania state inspection, and just hanging around, waiting for me to show it more love....

My '69, picture taken at Bavarian Motors in Queens NY, 4 May 1969 just before we drove away from the dealership after taking delivery.  If all goes according to plan, it'll be at Ofest in Pittsburgh, just having rolled over 225,000 miles.

The second picture was taken in June 2018....
