If this is a 240/5-speed Blunt tech has a custom mount now

I was supposed to test that setup, except the mount they made was for the single mount 240, not the later style dual mount 240 trans.

I never heard back from them after I pointed that out.

Ha ... kinda ... maybe more like 'drive-by-allthread'?

It still has the exact/correct pedal box ... so foot-feel should be identical

Just different things happening when the accelerator is pressed!

i'll be in Austin the first week of June ... you should come down to the shop.

Text me to continue the conversation!

cheers

I started rehab’ing an 048 cast iron distributor for my Polaris ‘68. 1B92007C-EFC0-4A78-8B0A-6D6005CD861A.thumb.jpeg.87f8104c1006f5aa4330457ae1815d19.jpeg

Im looking forward to spinning this one up on my Allen distributor machine and seeing what the curve looks like.

A nod to ‘76mintgrun02 for the tip on bamboo skewers for temporary gear pins. That’s gonna make fiddling with the adjustable outer spring anchor points a breeze.

Spent about 4 hours waxing.  Awesome advice from roadhog0 in response to my question last week on a different thread.

You can tell the difference even in the picture, you should see it in person.  Huge.  Only got to the roof, hood, and upper parts of the side panels. The lower part of the side pannels below the chrome I have not got to yet.

Clay bar, then Two soaks of the McGuires 7,  then two coats of carnuba.  No compounding !  Here is the link from roadhog0.   This is a must for anyone with one stage paint.  Very wordy blog.  Basically I can distill it into: clay bar, then McGuires 7 in as many coasts as you can tolerate.  Rub in well, let last sit over night.  Then seal in with carnuba.

A must for stage one paint.  Should be in the advice section.

Love those wheels - are they Panasport, or ??? What size  offset are they? Any clearance issues?

Thanks, but not Panasports. Their Koneg reps, 195/15.  I haven't had it long enough to confirm any clearance issues. Fenders are rolled a bit.

On another note, I spent over 3 hours chasing a flooded engine only to find the the distributor cap coil contact had broke and fell out.

It's all coming back to me now.

It looks great!!! Single stage can be a pain sometimes.

I finished my vintage prep for the car.  Cleaned and sealed the wheels and hub caps and checked all the lugs.  Now I just need to pack.

That feeling you get when you wash your car for the first time in six months... and you can't tell the difference.  #vintageprep #deadpaint ?
