  1. Not really sure where you're coming from....Was under the impression that Clarence was willing to send a PDF of the CAD....Perhaps I misunderstood?
  2. Agree with Mike. Removed mine, looks 100% better, kept it for (whenever I) sell.
  3. As much as I'd love to go, I'm sad (and happy) to say that I will not be able to make Brisbane as I will be attending my youngest son's college graduation in Washington state that day. This is a big day in my wife's and my life as we'll be getting a major pay raise...
  4. Most of today's 7 series drivers are like anyone else that drives a modern day $$ car (Lexus, et cetera), entitled jerks. Guaranteed he: - has never changed or know what a spark plug is.. - hasn't a clue what an 02 is.. - kicks the dog when he gets home...
  5. I had the same problem a few year back on my 73 tii. The problem was the engine was not properly grounded. Make sure there the stout grounding strap exists between the engine and the frame.
  6. I say thanks for any/all effort! There certainly is a demand for such a product.
  7. Fire extinguisher, scissors jack, decent spare tire (and everything to change said tire) AAA card, wallet & cell phone.
  8. Well......What I'd do would be: - replace speedo cable if that doesn't fix it I would.. - replace or rebuild speedometer
  9. Might do better to grab one of those Ford trucks in the background..... juz zayin.
  10. That's a great story. 13 years ago I was working as a FF in a Bay Area city, was doing an inspection on a building and there was a stunning 73 tii parked in front of the building that I was inspecting. Having attended the West Coast 02 Fest (shout out to Rob Torres @ 2002haus) I left my card on the windshield saying how nice his tii was. I had forgotten about it until 3 months later he called me, thanking me......and BTW, he had 4 rims and tires that the local tire shop was storing for him....he no longer needed them.....they were mine if I could use them. Well, I did go to that tire shop, and they (gladly!) handed me 4 Hartge wheels with Michelin Pilots mounted on them.....WOW! A year later this kind individual left at the fire station a spare Hartge mag (new in the box) as a spare. We have remained good friends.
  11. Everytime I list/call on something on CL (especially a vehicle) I have to take a deep breath.
  12. Interesting. I put new ones in 2 years ago while re carpeting with Esty's new carpet kit and zero problems....
  13. Don't you need to lock the flywheel to get an accurate LD test?
  14. Awesome. Would pay for itself in no time as far as the pain and suffering you won't go through. Not to mention being able to lift stuff without being a PITA when you need to call friends to help. Imagine how much beer you'll save..
  15. 73 tii 2763107 Originally sold in Palo Alto CA, April 1973
  16. Put more than 300 miles on her this year, unlike last year..
  17. I do hope you either get the $$ to get it properly repaired, or the true value from your insurance carrier. My "modern cars" are all insured by Progressive, and they told me some years ago that they would only insure my 73 tii for $6K. Obviously even back then the car was worth much more than that, so I started insuring her with Hagarty, and she's now insured for $23K. Those here who think their typical auto policy covers the true value of their 02s should speak to your agent and find out just what they'll pay in case of an accident or theft. Then check with a classic car insurer such as Hagarty or the like. Good luck, Grayson.
  18. It was 75 or 76....I was working at a Chevron station in Walnut Creek, Ca. An 02 of that color pulled in by a stunning woman (gas stations were full service at that time)....I still think of that car/color/woman/how young I was/et cetera....
  19. I get at least one thumbs up every time I take out the tii....from regular looking folks to bad ass looking dudes.
