  1. I get at least one thumbs up every time I take out the tii....from regular looking folks to bad ass looking dudes.
  2. Spare tire location? ( I looked at the entire post twice....I'll blame it on the wine if I missed it) .....A Murphy's law thing......
  3. And a few choice words will help things stretch out a bit more..
  4. Hagerty is a decent deal IMO. I have Progressive for my other vehicles and all they would insure my 73 tii for was $6K. It's insured for $23K thru Hagerty for $270ish/year, with a 2500 miles driven annually.
  5. A starter from a 320i would crank at twice the speed of the OEM 02 starter, and will help the engine fire quicker.
  6. ^ ^ Sorry - replied to the original thread (link) I fvcking hate thieves.
  7. Details? Stolen from the garage? Street or parking lot while shopping? Side of house et cetera?
  8. Details? from the street, garage, side of the house et cetera?
  9. Very nice and congratulations on your cars write up! I may have seen it as I recently retired from the Mill Valley FD and was keenly aware of the various 02s in that city...Mine lurked from time to time...Forgive my ignorance, but what is the Marin County C&C? I live in the East Bay and hip as I am I do have my flaws.
  10. I have the 5 speed in my 73 tii, stock rear end, and here are some speeds/RMPS: 70 mph/3000 rpm at 4000 rpm I'm going 87 mph. with the 4 speed (and in 4th with the 245) 70 is 4000 rpm. The conversion is well worth it IMO.
  11. Make sure the engine is grounded to the chassis via the large braided strap. What is happening is identical to what happened on a regular basis with my tii - realized the grounding issue and problem was gone.
  12. Being that it has a Weber, it would be very difficult if not impossible to smog here in the Golden State.
  13. The spacing is odd in the BMW binder, have never found a binder that has the same spacing in the various large office type stores.
  14. If your Ford is a full size truck (half or 3/4 ton) and in good running order, I can't imagine it will have any trouble towing your 02 to FLA.
  15. I have an original, and have been trying to find a binder that has the correct hole spacing/number, as the biner's rings no longer mate properly, and is a PITA to flip pages. An original of facsimile would be preferred, but any binder that works would be great (Will save the original of course). Any ideas?
