  1. Thanks all for the input. Car and engine have been well maintained.
  2. I have not had any problems with my pump, and my tii has (I'm sure) well over 100K miles on her. I'm assuming that it would be a good idea for a pump rebuild soon? I've always wondered about this.
  3. I like it. It's nothing that I would own, but it's a "one off", the only one of its kind. Obviously a lot of work went into it. It's certainly more entertaining to look at than a Japanese counterpart.
  4. Always great to re read it every now and then, still makes me LOL.
  5. More than several 02s listed in SF Bay Area CL..
  6. Yeah...The dude's high (as in he smoked a bit much...)
  7. I've had good luck with the red Optima batteries. I did switch to a sealed lead acid for awhile and it didn't last any longer than the Optica which is easier to remove and intall in my rear mount.
  8. Looked like you're wife's narcolepsy might have been kicking in.....
  9. That's awesome! I just learned something. Thanks I think as now I have to look into a new project....
  10. 50 - 75 lb/ft is quite a bit of torque. I'd go with half inch. I have a 3/8 torque wrench I use for lesser torque settings such as below 20 NM etc.
  11. I have heard the opposite - that a one piece dash will NOT fit in a 73. I've been wrong once before , but if that were the case I would have had one in my 73 years ago.
  12. Agree with Toby 100 percent. The OE jack can slip and make your life miserable. Keep it in the trunk to make your car more desirable, but if you need to change a flat use a scissors jack that you hopefully also have in the trunk.
  13. Wish you would have posted a pic of the entire car....Interior etc sure looks nice. My first 02 was a 75 and she was a beauty.
  14. Sure. With a 5 speed. My tii cruises very nicely at 70 turning just under 3K RPM. 4K she purrs at 87 MPH. I've had her up to 105 once, she was still climbing but I shut her down to "normal speed"....Just had to do it once.
  15. Add me to the satisfied customer list. He's 25 or so miles from where I live and it's like going to the candy store..
  16. Very cool - If this drive was announced previously (probably was) I missed it!
  17. I wondered the same thing when I installed my passenger mirror. I had a helper position the mirror at the position on the door where I thought it should be, keeping mind of what/where I could see in the mirror. It's positioned pretty darn close relative to where the driver's side mirror is. It probably isn't mounted to exact specs, but looks and works perfect.
  18. That tii is stunning. If it drives as nice at it looks it's even more stunninger....(I just made up that word).
  19. Yes - make sure (of course) that the paint has been removed/ground to make a good metal to metal connection.
