  1. Another article with more pics: http://www.businessinsider.com/bmw-csl-hommage-concept-2015-8
  2. http://www.wallothnesch.com/angebote/wochenangebote/aktuelle/bmw-1502-2002-turbo.html Shipping expensive and exchange fees on credit card are an issue though! Enjoy!
  3. I had an issue one time with my 32-36. It would run for a short time and then flood. I took the 32-36 to a carburetor expert who couldn't find any issue. Finally one night, to my wife's disgust, I took the carburetor apart on our dinning room table! The needle valve had some junk in it, and wouldn't close all the way when the float got to the top. I cleaned the needle valve, bolted it back together and all was well. This may be you issue - just an guess.
  4. on reel mounting point (bolt hole) must be down
  5. Several Exhaust Systems and Part available from Walloth Nesch: http://www.wallothnesch.com/catalog/category/view/s/bmw-1502-2002-turbo/id/11761/
  6. I successfully used these: https://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/2002-suspension-steering/02rearbush.html
  7. That wire powers the shut off valve. With power the carb gets gasoline, without it won't idle very well. You might be able to get one from your Weber carb supplier.
  8. I've had the best experience with the Graf brand of water pumps. Others, including BMW, fail early and often!
  9. A single spade switch would work if the two wires are isolated by rectifiers (diodes), otherwise the dome light could stay on all the time. An ASCII Schematic: Cathode Rectifier Anode << Dome Light Wire Switch Spade < Cathode Rectifier Anode << Seat Belt / Ignition Switch Warning Wire
  10. P-N: 16121105870 Available here: http://thebmwminipartstore.com/parts/index.cfm?searchText=16121105870&make=BMW&action=oePartSearch&siteid=218365 for $26.57 plus shipping, etc.
  11. Looks like item 13 above, but can't find the part number
  12. It's very hard to get a fastener head thin enough to hold the clevis, since it runs in to the door brake. Put a nail into the clevis, now that you have it in, and take it to a welder and have it attached. I used a string to fish the clevis into place instead of a magnet - much easier. Have the weld material applied to the outside of the clevis - inside the clevis will interfere with the door brake.
  13. I noticed some dents in the flat part of the head on cylinder 3. You should change your rings while your at it.
  14. It is very difficult to remove the one piece dashboard without first removing the front windscreen. There are several screws holding the dashboard in place located under the windscreen gasket.

  16. The emergency brake lever (silver part) is on the wrong side of the brake shoe. The cable will not attach to the hook unless it is on the back of the shoe.
  17. Check the three prong connector on the back of the alternator. Make sure all three alternator prongs go into the connector contacts.
  18. You're on the right track. Try to do the extraction after removing the radiator, but getting a straight shot at the bolt is difficult with the timing chain cover in the car.
  19. Had a distributor rebuild by Cardone. They did some 'extra' stuff (crimped the outer diameter) that has to be reversed to make the advance and retard work. They may need some instructions on what you want done.

  21. I'm bringing my 2009 E92 328i Coupé since I no longer have my '76 Inka 2002. I'll wear my 2002 shirt though, so I won't feel out of place! Perhaps my old Inka will show up with its new owner, too!
