I can’t believe it’s been three years already, Nick!

Enjoy the Holidays!

Best regards,

Steve

Well, not quite. In March or April it'll be 3 years and in the fall it'll be 3 since I took the glass out. But, close enough.

Santa brought me some new lights for the o2!
I also managed to finish final assembly to my hybrid 2002 /e21 axles and got the new diff painted yesterday in between family time. I'll let the paint cure for a couple days before I install.
Merry Christmas! 2844b643ec5f059c01eb96a44b346332.jpg70af13b1290ae258e0e6525a0bad9203.jpg26ce3bd83f9df579634a8c6d5669e1a6.jpg838aa1cc9d13a7e84e2271dfab9fc4e3.jpga98a95c463f3080750694d672ca63a5b.jpgef4d91ba4d39e37aed99b92ff46362a2.jpg

Is there a special link for a package deal?  If I price it out separately it's $1000

Just put everything in your 'cart'. There was a $75 coupon automatically applied when I did it.

Put in some work and started the head gasket replacement, going to take the head and timing cover down to get skimmed tomorrow so I can get it alllll put back together!!! I zip tied the sprocket to the timing chain already so all that’s left to do is take the 10 head bolts off and pop the head off by tapping it with a mallet a lil bit... Wish me luck... haha and merry Christmas!

Finished the lsd install today[emoji16][emoji16][emoji16].
Took a 30 minute drive to make sure it had no weird noises and get it warmed then... Trial by fire!
It passed my test! [emoji471]
Sorry, I'm a no good hooligan.

The best Christmas present ever!  Well since last year anyway (new H4s).

My wife got me the BMCauto LED taillight kit.  I love that this kit can be removed to return the car to the stock configuration.  I don't know who'd want to do that as the brightness of this kit is amazing.  Safety first.MerryXmasToMe.thumb.jpg.89fa82f197f7c1fc6a5077ff8d97b0d5.jpg

The assembly is quite straight forward. Align the circuits and add dabs of hot melt glue and it's done.Assembly2.thumb.jpg.74c2925136a663c29b27d31c5be6f72f.jpgAssembly1.thumb.jpg.14b2dcc49f0af638c577a07178e86775.jpg

I added a pigtail for the reverse lights to create an even-length connection to the 02 wiring harness. Then I wrapped all the wires with loom tape.   All fits underneath the stock plastic covers.

I like to label wires for easy id when reconnecting and shrink tubing is one on my favorite products.  I use black and clear tubing for a permanent solution.

The only negative is the open plug fitting.  To remedy that I created a closed-cell foam cover to protect the fitting from damage by junk in the trunk.  Still a work in progress as there is not much room under the light fixture for the foam cover.PlugCoversSml.jpg.fa1871603efc8eadf1798355f38fae33.jpg

I'm not adding pictures of the final assembly and intensity of the lights.  We've all seen how bright these ligthts are.

I can't wait for Spring to take my new taillights for a spin.  ?

esty carpet install. I don't know who can install this kit in a day....certainly not me!

It's 50 degrees in my garage. At this temperature, the carpet is stiff as a board and difficult to bend. I was careful with a heat gun on the rear of the carpet to encourage it conform. Helped considerably. Trimming here and there is necessary too.

I've gotta put a hinge on the accelerator to finish and also install the rear seat delete package, but I'm getting there!

My new carburetor synchronizing tool came in late yesterday afternoon, something I wish I would’ve bought three years ago when I install the Mikuni round-slides on the M10.

I’ve been using the Edelbrock “Uni-sync”, the only drawback is that you can only calibrate one carburetor at a time. Being able to adjust all four carbs at the same time is much quicker, an a lot easier on my back.   LOL

Well worth the investment......

I just tacked the rocker side as I’ll be adding bracing/removing the outer rocker to repair the inner rocker and A-sheet.
