Dread...

Going back to my mechanic and still find my car in a state of disassembly, my ordered parts lying around and not much progress.

Calling my mechanic and wondering when he doesn't answer the phone that he is either:

Back in the hospital fighting another ailment,

Taking a trip to Tahiti with my cash deposit.

Or is dead...

Telling my wife AGAIN that her cute little car is not back together yet and I get another express lane trip to the doghouse.

Getting old after a year....

Loose: Not tightly bound. Subject to motion.
Lose: What happens when you are spell check dependent.

1975 Malaga. It is rusty and  springs an occasional leak.  Just like me.

The heater core on my e-28 is leaking. Assembly instruction for a e-28 reads step 1 put floor pan on jig, step 2 install heater core, step 3 anything you can put on top of, under, or through heater core scores extra points that count towards the company Beer hall

If everybody in the room is thinking the same thing, then someone is not thinking.

Dread...more than anything else I dread working on the heater box...there is really no easy way to get in to access it when you are a big guy like me...I now pull the seat...

Don’t let the fear of what could happen

make nothing happen…

Being stuck in stop and go traffic on an on-ramp to the San Francisco Bay Bridge when my car won't idle or start. Push it to the side of the road with about 1 ft of clearance from traffic to pull the idle jet to make sure its not clogged, then drop it into the cigarettes, rubber strips, grime, etc. in the median. Frantically search for it, sifting through the grime, only to see it faintly glinting on the subframe. Realizing that wasn't even the problem and then realizing it was a bad spark plug cable and having your friend rush you one on his R80/GS.

Sorry Carl- sort of dread seeing more pics of your wonderful tii with those steelies that are in desperate need of some paint.  I have tried to get Le to do something but you are a stickler for originality.

You know I am just ribbing you ......again.

jgerock,

my biggest dread is losing any of the historical patina on the steelies ..... and I think Le even agrees with me !!

Cheers,

Carl

I don't agree Carl.  I think bright, shiny steelies look awesome.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
