  3. yes just run it off with an air tool if you have one. just like taking off lug-nuts from a wheel. the only other choice is a pipe wrench at the very top under the spring cap, where the strut rarely travels. good luck, let us know your out come, stone02
  4. 4 black letters above the left tail light? Turbo is 5 letters unless your car has the numbers above the light. am i missing something? stone I lived in the "Roundie" World for over 35 years never thinking I could bring myself to have a "Square"but there was one thing that brought me into the "Square" world..... 4 black letters above the left tail light. When I told my friends I bought a "square taillight" they knew exactly what I had done.
  5. still available.. sent you a response thru forum stone
  6. Hi, i am in philadelphia pa and may have rear shock towers that are good. which side do you need? stone
  7. Hi, the pump is only under 2 psi of pressure. the only place i have ever seen the pump leak from is behind the pulley. are you running a front cover for the pump belt? almost all the oil leaks above the water pump come from the upper part of the front cover. i looked at a pump i have in the bin and it appears to be blind, the hole for the bracket is not thru the pump body. if oil is actually coming from a pump seam between the steel head and the aluminum body then you need to send it out to be re-gasketed. the full throttle stop is important but not dire. keep us up to date on the repair. good luck stone
  8. hey, so if you still want some angle on the wrench and i am thinking about the metal body, what about a round file in the top edge of the dist? this would handle both concerns. if you need some different distributors i have a crate with at least 20 in there. i hope you continue to work on this advancement. stone
  9. Hi, if you got this going i would buy several sets, depending on the price i might buy 30 sets. the only concern i have is drilling holes into the cap. many of the mechanical advance distributors have an access plug that is oval in shape. it probably does not line up with your components, but, i would rather drill an aligned hole in the metal than the caps. do you think that this adjustment might be possible. at that angle it seems that you are using a ball end allen wrench. thanks stone
  10. work skirts and i never buy just one so make it two. but, it has to be 2xl. i am 250lbs and 6'6". maybe even 2xl tall. stone

  13. Hi, this has happened to me before and what i found was that the pump has an oring where it meets the feed line up into the block. if this oring is missing you will loose volume and pressure. next the feed tube that goes up the block also has an oring and many times this oring gets over looked. this is most likely where the loss is occuring. unfortunately the work to get to these places is better served by pulling the motor out. some people may also mention changing the oil filter. this may be something to try. report back! good luck stone
  14. interested in brake calipers. stone02@verizon.net
  15. Hi, on the automatic cars the trans is longer but not by much. the cross member is therefore shaped most like the symbol for "cents". your cross member should not go straight across. did you loose it or is this a basket case reassembly? good luck stone02
  16. Hi, i black wire that goes to the relay from the harness can be attached directly to the back of the ignition switch, at the same spot where the relay plugged in. bypass complete. good luck stone
  17. Hi, i picked up a 1967 2000 cs about a year ago and finally got around to working on it starting today. the body is good and the car has had other work. so, the motor is not original, rather it is a tii set up. i looked at the block number, which is 2581634 and it comes out as an early RHD (us) car. well that does not seem right. so i ask, is this a vin number for a NK tii car which was transplanted into this body, or did someone go to the trouble of converting the block properly to have the oil return in the correct drain boss. i have a little time to mess with the car while the brake system parts get rebuilt so if someone has a vin chart like the McCartney book for 2002's that may help thanks. stone
