Hi All, I'm looking into some new wheels for my '75 2002 and came across these BBS RG-Fs (RG 359) that seem like a nice fit. Haven't seen anyone running them on a 2002 though. Does anyone have any experience with them? If so, I had a few questions: 1. Do you need the PFS rings and clips, like these 70mm to 57.1mm? 2. Did you need spacers to bring the 33mm offset closer to 25mm? Anything else I need to consider? My car is mostly stock but it came to me with Ireland Engineering Stage 1 sport springs and sway bar set and Bilstein HD springs and Rota 15 x 7 wheels on 195/50R15 tires. Thanks in advance!

I have little to no storage space so these bits and bobs need to go to someone who can use them or at least tuck them away. I removed the air condintioning system this summer. All the parts are there I believe. I have the console as well, but would need a replacement to let it go. Free for pick up. Tim

i looked at several machines and options on how it is done "normally" here is what i came up with tested on one bad wheel of my winter tire set for my E60. 60$ worth of material, a rod at mcmaster, i use the cones from my tire balancing machine and a 20$ 2ton botle jack. oh and i made a radius support with a piece of hard wood. brought the wheel within 0.010" which is very good imho.

Is anyone familiar with 5 1/2"Jx14" NK wheels? They appear to be standard NK wheels otherwise and have a manufacturing date of 1 68. I thought that they were 4" for NKs except for 4 1/2" on ti, tilux and cs. Alex

Tesoro's getting new shoes! Feb 11, 2015
Lisa.02P posted a blog entry in Lisa.02P with her Tesoro & Derby
These lips are divine! Freshly polished by Paul Ehrlich at http://ewheelworks.us/ ! They are beaming! (I hope you are wearing your sunglasses!) This guy is the SHIIIIIIIIT! His work is sooo BAD ASS and attention to detail! I only pick the best people to work on Tesoro. for example: ( 2002 Garage Werks ) but you gotta check out this wheel guy! I'll be posting pics of TESORO's finished rims when they are done! And they are going to be GORGEOUS!!! I've also ordered chrome and black bolts to change up the look if I want to!- 2 comments

The OZ wheels I ordered arrived from Budapest. I thought they were coming from Vienna, Austria, but I guess somebody was confused about that whole World War One Austria-Hungary thing. These wheels were packed really really well and they look awesome. I am going to have a hard time deciding which set to use on the car, these or the euro weaves. I still need to take the weaves over to my reconditioning guy. The weaves came with a set of tires, so I'll mount tires on two OZ and two reconditioned weaves to see what they look like. I'm also going to have to spend some time figuring out what s

Checklist for Brisbane! May 02, 2017
Lisa.02P posted a blog entry in Lisa.02P with her Tesoro & Derby
Getting excited for Brisbane! Derby's original wheels are redone in the PC paint color (Thank you Anders!) and with PC tires. Michelin XAS 165/13. Hubcaps will be mounted at Brisbane. Got the alignment done today and making Derby safe to drive the 100mile round trip to and from Brisbane. (And to those of you who saw the glossy paint on the radiator, I had them redo the paint, take it down to metal and paint it satin black, much better! Thank you to Patrick from Bill's shop who did such a beautiful job on it! ) Time to get both cars detailed now! Hope to s- 1 comment

Just a small entry for today. The tires on the car were cracked and dry-rotted, a consequence of sitting in a garage for a few years. I'd been pricing out my options for replacements on the 14" Bottlecaps, but as many here know, 15" tires are more available and cost effective. I'd seen the E30 "Style 10" wheel posted here very infrequently, and though the wheel looks far more modern than the 2002 design, I feel like they stay in character with the vehicle. I found a great set available and jumped on them. I gave the wheels a fresh coat of wax throughout and paired them with Yokohama S.Drive in

Here is a small update on the Style 5 rims that I am using on the car. I found these at a local salvage yard for $300. They had the usual curb rash and the clear coat was peeling. Cosmetically, the barrels were pretty bad. I used various stages of grit to remove the curb rash and polish the barrels to a mirror finish. I finished the polish with a polishing compound and light cutting jeweler's rouge on a shaggy buffing wheel. This project was beyond tedious, and only recommended for true skin flints and insomniacs. I took the rims apart and set out to polish the barrels.

Parts Collecting Things have been slow with the 2002, it's taken a lot longer to get in parts then I had anticipated. Not many big updates in this post, mostly just parts collecting. The first guy I had arranged to trade hubs with flaked out, and it took a few weeks to find someone willing to sell me a set. Fortunately they have arrived. I also have all new wheel bearings ready to go when it's time to do the swap. I've also ordered all new brake components, including braided hoses. Figured I might as well upgrade while I'm in there. So this is a pretty small update, but there's a change in plans with my wheel selection. Originally I was planning on building up the OZ Vega faces that I had sitting around. Given the 2002 was already converted to 5x120, I figured this would work out great. While I was told that 30-hole RS parts will bolt up to these faces, I have some concerns about the "how". After breaking down my RSs to steal the barrels, I realized that the back of the Vega face doesn't have a machined lip for the barrel to sit on. My worry is, this would put a lot more stress on the bolts, as there isn't a

Keep turning bolts. Keep turning, but don't use anything but hand tools. -

Some wheels I picked up on eBay. I like them but won't be sure until the arches and rear end is fitted to see what they look like -
4 original 13" rims from a 1976 California car. Little rust, mostly surface rust on the separate chrome lips. Toyo tires are new'ish (2013), and only have 1 cross-country trip on them. Local pickup in NYC preferred. If shipped, I suggest minus tires to save weight - but that's totally up to you! I have a 5th one but need to keep that as my spare.

All – I would like to take a set of stock Kronprinz 4.5x13 et35 and widen them to 6x13 keeping the face the same so I can use stock hubcaps. Instead of new barrels, Stockton Wheel says it will add 1.5” of material to the middle of the existing barrel section of the rim. Doing this will move the inner edge of the rim and the tire closer to the shock tower both front and back. How can I know if I have room for that addition if it all goes on the back side of the rim? If it ends up too close, can I use longer lug bolts and spacers? Thanks, Stuart

These Rotas came on the 02 I purchased recently. I replaced them with BBS RMs and swapped the tires over. They are very nice, but not flawless. Some minor paint chips from lug nuts removal/mounting on one, and some small tar specks on another that I could not remove with basic wheel cleaner (but may come off with more effort). The car was barely driven on these as it mostly sat at my mechanic’s while he rebuilt the suspension and installed big brakes. I have sold modern BMW and MINI parts on other forums in the past, and have bought and sold high-end handbuilt scale model cars on eBay for years (Apex328). I obviously prefer local pick up, but I have shipped wheels/tires in the past and can get a cost for that.

These wheels are on a car thats local to me. I was wondering if anyone could tell me the width on these and how rare or available these are. They look like a stock wheel but seem wider to me.
