  1. Hi, that is the newer style eyelet. if you can find the old style it is all steel and much heavier duty. look for one in any clutch car. the eyelet size is a larger diameter, outside. and i have NEVER had the old style break. good luck stone stone racing co

Hi, the studs can usually go in hand tight as above. sometimes you have to double nut the stud and run it down to the shoulder. loctite is okay. on the upper studs the hole goes thru to the valve spring area. the short end of the stud , therefore, must be installed into the head. make sure that the stud doesn't touch the spring. this may sound goofy but i have seen many studs that were rubbing on the spring. good luck stone
