22 Years and Counting. 22 Years of the FAQ

It is hard to believe that it is 02/02/0224. Because of all your help, we have survived for the last twenty two years and seem to be striving somewhat. Sometimes things are tough, but ingenuity keeps this site and our cars going strong. We are a couple of years older than Facebook and 8 years older than Instagram.  We might not be as big, but that was my stupid idea to start a site that, at most, could bring together the owners of only about 350000 cars.

Keep them going, and enjoy the ride!  I sure do.

To celebrate our twenty second revolution around the sun, I am setting the price for all T-Shirts to $22. Enjoy! And I added a new design, Racing Through the Streets

All hail to Steve and this site!

It is an invaluable resource for all of us ‘02 enthusiasts and every time I am here (almost daily) - I am always amazed with the wisdom being shared and camaraderie amongst all of us.

Long live one of the finest examples of automotive engineering!

Congratulations Steve, and thank you.  If only the FAQ was around 50 years ago when I bought my 1st 02 life would have been so much easier.  There has been a lot of trial and error over the years.  It’s fun to watch others learn to “Love the box” the way we did.

This month marks 56 years of owning and driving an 02 for me.

This year marks 50 years since I got to go to Germany and drive on the Nurburgring.

Thats where I met Byron and others from across the US.

It's  been a wonderful ride.

Thank you Steve for bringing us all together and providing a platform for keeping these automobiles on the road.
