Short term: get the differential filler plug out and replace the oil.

Medium term: drop the rear subframe and install all the new rubber I bought from Blunt in 2018, and replace the rear wheel bearings while I'm at it.

This appears to be the original swaged-in U-Joint, so I'll get the driveshaft rebuilt while the subframe is out.

Long term: replace the headliner and dashboard.

We rescued it from the rust heap last year -- fortunately no structural rust underneath the car, but there was a lot of scaling and many pin holes at the bottom of the window gaskets, so the body shop surgically cut out the bad metal and welded new metal in place.

Mark_7, I don't know what kind of wheels those are.  Next time I have one off the car, I'll see if there are any markings on the inside.

Beantown, the paint job was supposed to be three weeks, but ended up being in the shop for 100 days.  There is much more to do, both mechanically and cosmetically, but so glad it's driveable during the process.

Compliments on a beautiful paint job! I'll hazard a guess that your wheels are original Minilites made by Western Wheel. Hopefully the wheel savants on this forum can confirm. Cheers!

I thought the same.  Western's Minilite design ripoff.

My spare (work in progress):

OCD maybe.  Savant...not.

-Big brake upgrade, I've got all parts except for one E12 brake caliper.

-Reupholster (cloth inserts) my E21 Recaro seats and back seats,  thinking of a tan hounds tooth material, thanks David Kemether for the inspiration.

-Finish Euro back bumper.  I'm going from the current look to the  bumper with no guards/license plate lights in the bumper.

-Drive it to the Vintage

P.S. Install a cardinal red leather interior in my 91 E30 sedan. I have all door cards, front seats and back seats with uber rare rear headrests.

I like the look of your 02 with the side marker light/reflector delete but interesting that you didn't convert from diving board bumpers to Euro bumpers during the repaint.
