post a driving video. lets' see what it can really do. it's 'evil' looking. Probably could use some skulls

as graphics...and what was that about a V8?

Ghost skulls, in shiny black over the flat...  Yes.

Dave.

Judging by my 02 (99.9% stock ‘72 tii) most people would think I’m a bit of a purist.  Maybe I am.

But this car is pretty cool.  I like it, overall.

I do think the price depends on a few key things:

>What does the car look like underneath?  Is it pretty clean, or not so much?

>Have you done anything to the driveline to cope with the extra power?

>Interior condition

>Quality of the work, which is hard to judge by internet pics.

So pics of that stuff and more info would be helpful.

I always try to encourage other 02 owners.

What I like is this gentleman's honesty and candor.

Humble and kind always works for me.

Nice start and good luck on your sale.

"I completed this work in the early stages of my fabrication skills to current. So some things could be gone back over again. You wont see any high end parts on it.  I used what I had access to and and handmade everything else."

Call me old fashioned but I prefer unmolested classic cars. But this is a nice build with some interesting features. It's sure to gather a crowd at any showing. The problem with assessing its worth its the very thing that draws the crowd.. its uniqueness.

To those like me, it's not worth much; ditto for someone looking for a project to restore. For someone who likes restomods, it has to offer the buyer the same vision of what they wanted but couldn't build themselves due to lack of time and/or skills to do it themselves. After all, the pride and bragging rights are much less if you admit the build wasn't by your own hands.

I think $50k on the high end is a push and the OP should take that and run if offered anything close to that much. We've seen offerings on BaT for high-end restorations that aren't nearly as modified, costing the sellers well north of six figures, netting bids at 50% of their sellers "investments." So it will take a special buyer who wants what's been done and doesn't mind giving credit to the OP. For that reason, many restomods  never realize the total time and money spent to build them. GLWTS if you choose to sell her.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
