What Tyres

Recommended Posts

We appreciate you now selling the Pirelli CN36 185/70/13 but a lot of us would like a good 205/60/13 there are not many street tires in that size any longer there are some R compound race tires (with DOT certification) but they are not a good choice for all around street use.

165HR13 XAS’s (the factory-supplied tire on most U.S.-spec 2002’s) and 185/70VR13 CN36’s.

I believe that among the 13” tire crowd — the original ‘02 rims were all 13” — there is additional appetite for: (A.) 165/80 tires less expensive than XAS’s, and, (B.) a 205/60 tire, comparable to the Pirelli CN36’s, and certainly less expensive than a 185/70VR13 XDX.

Thanks for asking.

Are you guys continuing your free-shipping-to-the-U.S. policy?

Best regards,

Steve

195-60-14. A lot of people including myself converted to 14" rims for daily driving and to get a more modern tire for that task. They perform well and look closer to stock with the 60 series sides. I enjoyed numerous sets of Michelin MXV's and Bridgestone RE960's but now the selection has all but disappeared. After I wear out my current and not so exciting set of General tires I am faced with finding 15 inch wheels or going "retro" and back to 13's.

Thanks for asking!

Tad of an outlier here: Look for original diameter on a 15 inch wheel.

195/55/r15 on 15 x 7 et 25 wheel.

Loose: Not tightly bound. Subject to motion.
Lose: What happens when you are spell check dependent.

1975 Malaga. It is rusty and  springs an occasional leak.  Just like me.

I'll add to the request for 205/60-13's please! The Sunbeam Tiger crowd also uses 205/60-13's as a performance option...
