V8 1976 2002

I haven’t done a good job documenting my project. I’m sorry.  It is up and running and is a blast to drive. It has a SBC 383 that makes a little over 400 hp mated to a Ford T5 manual transmission with hydraulic clutch. Rear end is a Ford IRS 8.8 with custom axles. The car has 4 wheel disc brakes , roll cage and trunk mount fuel cell and battery. I’m running basset racing wheels. The cars weights 2160 full of fuel.

WOW !!  That car, with all that cool stuff, weighs less than my stock '74 !!!

It is pretty stripped down. Only has 2 Aluminium racing seats. Trunk floor/spare tire well removed. V8 didn’t weight much more than original motor and I moved it back behind front suspension to keep balance. Also t5 trans and driveshaft are very light.

lol wow...but put in an interior and some sound deadening so you can enjoy it for long periods of time....or maybe it my old age talking at this point. oh and clear coat it as it is right now!

Would love to see more. Somehow the older I get, the more I dig the patina.

Looks like you have had a few different iterations of the hood.  Curious to know what has worked better, the forward facing scoop or the wedge with the pocket facing the windshield?  Which are you running now?
