My mom taught me how to sew. It’s a really useful skill for anyone.  And I still have/use her old cast-iron Singer sewing machine - which looks very similar to the one Jim posted above.

Sewing is ‘architectural’ - great observation @Lucky 7! And nice work with those French seams…

I was going to say that looks like an old Singer sewing machine. They are what America was built with and bulletproof.

I learned to sew in the Boy Scouts, very useful skill. Can even sew yourself up in a first aid situation.

Moved the amp for the second time since I’ve owned the car. When I bought the car the amp was under the backseat, great spot for it. I decided I wanted E24 rear seats like all the cool kids have but they sit a little lower than the stock seat and made contact with the amp. So I moved it to the firewall between the cabin and trunk and it fit perfectly between the center console of the E24 seats. Not a lot of air flow there but I wasn’t pushing it hard. I decided I needed a sub which will definitely generate more heat in the amp so I moved it to the trunk on the bottom of the parcel shelf. It’s not ideal to mount an amp upside down for heat dissipation but it never gets that hot here so I think it’ll be ok. The sub sounds awesome too. Shout out to @Teelinger for thinking ahead and installing an amp that could handle a sub too.

I added 2 new Hella horns and driving lamp brackets (thanks to Pierre's craftsmanship), to accommodate soon to be installed Hella 500s (to be tapped into the high beam wire, so as to avoid having to install an independent switch); original headlamps about to be converted to H4s are next.

Practically the same setup on Zouave (I chose yellow), but I wired a green button into the console to provide an override on/off for the driving lights; just too much traffic where I live to throw up that much light most of the time, and the H4s are really bright in high beam mode.image.thumb.png.ce04790b6fc36bea2135147be3dac4cf.png

Saweet and she's a beauty!

Yes, I had an identical setup on the '76 I restored 20 years ago (I had to sell her).  The H4s + the driving lamps + 100W bulbs in the driving lamps really make driving on winding roads at night a ton of fun.

They sure as shit are.  I had my other set mounted on the bumper, but his brackets are a much better look.

Drove the Inka down to my beloved 95 year old aunt’s house to see the solar eclipse. She’s enamored with the car :)

You'll love the Hella horns they sound angary unlike the stock units.

I sure will!

I installed ‘em in the ‘76 I restored, then had to sell over 20 years ago and my current baby is essentially stock = lots of tweaks coming her way!
