Replaced the fuel tank, old one was getting a little rough around the edges. Converted to an in tank pump while I was in there, just waiting on the electrical connector to show up.

Love that flip top gas cap. How's the base plate attached to the fender? I assume that's how the whole thing is stabilized?

would it be acceptable to clean and squish grease into these bearings at the top of the strut?

If you buy a new one, most are only selling the long stud version. If you removed your strut spacers, you can either purchase new shorter studs or cut the long ones shorter and clean them up to avoid have super long studs sticking up.

it goes under the trunk lip and is riveted in place. The trunk seal hides the rivets.

When your 30mm socket is too fat, you spend an hour modifying it, just zip the nut off in 1/2 a second…

You have a custom tool now but for anyone else approaching this gear wrench makes a 30mm socket with thin enough walls to fit in there. See photo for comparison.

Sourced a 74tii intake to swap into my 72tii.
Don’t judge lol.
Cleaned them up and painted the runners so it would appear period correct. Waiting on new gaskets.

This showed up today on my front porch.  New air filter setup for my 40 DCOE Webers.

My old filters were getting tired and started looking at my options. I found this made by Tim

at TimJason Performance.  We talked a few weeks back and I'm excited to get this installed in the near future.
