What did you do to your 2002 today !

Recommended Posts

Slowly fixing up my 2002's garage, so it's only fair that the car does some of the work.  Last spring I added a fresh layer of siding on the outside of the garage and this winter I'll add some insulation between the studs on the inside.  Lots of conversations in the Hope Depot parking lot as I secured my load, not all of them positive. Made the short trip with no issues against the naysayers.

...needed a roof to replace a rotten sunroof car. Barney’s Boneyard yielded one.
Wasn’t it Schwarzenegger who yelled, “Get to the chopsaw!!”  ...or something like that.

Got the car back Wednesday after a long six months. Rick and the crew at North Bay Bavarian in Santa Rosa did a phenomenal job on the engine compartment cleanup, wiring, and engine rebuild. Car really runs strong, Jenvey and EFI, really pulling well. Really pleased with how everything turned out. Really pleased with the Speedhut gauges as well. A few minor oddities but all in all really pleased.

Nice looking engine bay!  What engine management are you using?

New built motor is good to go already put on 1200 miles on it. Added some Recaros and Petri Steering wheel. Next up Wilwoods all around, lowered springs and Bbs Rs wheels along with a koogleworks front spoiler. Also going to add a Kickass valve cover And some clear euros that will be the icying on the cake so to speak.

Today I brush painted the inner wheel arches. They were pretty ratty and have been cleaned and treated w/ Ospho. I'm employing my Salvation Army $7 heater for the job. It ain't easy to find a good heater deal this time of year. Currently at 60F in the garage and rising. Plan on letting it dry for a couple days and then use it on a 170 mile drive for TGiving.
