Ground all the rings for the new pistons, so they each fit their individual hole.

And I picked up a spanky timing light and dialed in a little more advance.  More peppy for sure.  Really hard to find the ball.  When the new engine goes in, I'm marking the hell out of the new flywheel so I can see it...

What I do:

1. Ignore the ball/bb...

2. Apply flat black paint about 2” each side of the OT mark (TDC), and then paint the line. -KB

I was gonna call you if you wanted to go down but decided late last night.

No problem.  I kinda talked myself out of it, as I don't need more stuff.  NOS grills would be nice.  Just hoping I didn't miss any.

Deutschland.  Germany.  It was, or still is, a common practice to display country abbreviation oval on vehicles in Europe.  GB-Great Britian.  S-Sweden, F-France, NL-Netherlands, etc.

For whatever reason (I'm probably doing it wrong) I can find the OT mark where I expect it at x degrees advance.  If that's the TDC mark, I'm straight.

Thanks.
