other Wrapping It Up!!

Hey All,

 

Well the time has finally come to wrap up my first career and look to start another.  In my department it is customary to have a retirement poster depicting things important to us.  Ive included it, hope you all approve.  Hard to believe nearly 33 years have flown by but I would not have traded the time for anything.  We get a bum wrap sometimes but I have had the pleasure of working with some of the most dedicated and loyal men and women in law enforcement.  You grow close when your safety depends on it.

I love your poster. My father in law was on the NYPD in Brooklyn as a regular patrolman for 31 years. I can appreciate that not that many people put in that kind of time unless they are really dedicated to the job. He definitely loved his job and his fellow officers. I can see from your poster that you do too.

You're gonna enjoy your retirement--more time to mess with your car, read car magazines, drive back roads in your car--you get the picture (but keep your spouse happy!).  Is LA gonna still be safe without you?

Congratulations on an excellent career and making it to the finish line safely…..I retired from the Fire Service nearly a year ago and things are finally getting done around here, and on the tii.

 

Don't know how I got anything done when I had to go to work...

What a great community we have here.  Thank you for all the kind words.  Carl, I couldn't respond to your email for some reason, but thanks for the congrats.  A good friend of mine, Gino Lancellotti has asked me to help manage his German Auto Specialist shop.  He recently branched out and opened his own shop in Simi Valley and is quite busy.  Some of you may know him, a good and honest guy.  I can't think of a better retirement part time job!!

I can't imagine a better part time gig in retirement:  you get to learn more about what is obviously one of your passions and you get to do it in a shop where someone else has already set everything up!  Win-win for you and the shop owner!
