    Pretty original car. Most have covered the trunk boards with elephant skin, which is incorrect. They were simply painted gray. Interior is very correct, though it appears front belts were replaced. New right fender at some point. All of the important pieces are present. I agree with Steve, clean it up but don’t over restore it.

    The bav looks like as much of a peach as the 02. Perhaps it is next on the block. Certainly both are rust free examples. Doesn’t want to hear about which of my cars?

    I wonder if by “front grill” the seller is referring to the nose panel. It has obviously been replaced, upper seams not brazed and filled?. Only thing I can think of that would be somewhere near 4k.

    Racing purpose only indicates that they are not DOT, TUV etc. approved for street use. The castings are thinner as are the rim lips for lighter weight. Nothing life threatening, just might not stand up to that foot deep pothole? This is a great price! GLWS.

    I believe the later manifolds had a higher nickel content hence less magnetic. This also helped with resistance to heat cracking.
