  1. Gotta love a small block V8. The original owner moved from CA. to CO. in late 60's pulling a UHaul. Only a handful of 65 Shelbys had a trailer hitch and air shocks??
  2. Does the transmission have oil in it? Four speed boxes were prone to layshaft bearing failure, more so if the rear is a ball bearing. Can be upgraded to a roller style, but will entail a rebuild. You might drain the oil and see what comes out. Could be an indicator.
  3. In the engine pic with the turbo, you can see a large round hole in the nose panel to the right and slightly lower than where the "snorkel" hole would be, intake air to the air box. No other 02's had that feature. Could have been added, but position is near perfect in photo.
  4. I have a pinion seal that I pried out with a big screwdriver, would like to retire. Any offers? Can send pics
  5. The shims are also nearly always used with an aluminum flywheel to keep the bolts from galling the surface around the holes.
  6. Yep?, though the change in the filler neck length and the mount to the right quarter were mid 71 when the "facelift" occurred.
  7. Hey, Just a heads up. 74-76 fuel tanks are a different shape/ bolt pattern due to the reinforcements for big bumpers. Pretty certain mid year 71-73 are the same (long neck) non tii. The 71-73 tanks won't fit a 74-76 US spec car and vice versa.
  8. Hey, I have an aluminum battery tray which works nicely in the trunk. Will send pics later today. Art
  9. Hey, Ireland sells these. iemotorsport.com
  10. Hey, There are two different e21 hubs. Standard 02 struts or tii struts? If you have the standard 02 struts, the retaining washers from your old 02 hubs are the same and can be reused. A regular washer is a bad idea! Without the little tongue on the ID of the original washer there is nothing to keep it from rotating. Also the original washers are very hard.
  11. Hey, Just a heads up. The door brake is broken and basically junk.
  12. Another option is to have some bushings made out of brass/bronze. I made a set for an early car and added grease zerks in the vertical tube on subframe so they could be lubed.
