Seeking Automatic 2002

Hello,

 

We have been looking for our first 2002 since January.  This is our first time buying a vintage car, but have loved this model for years and have an excellent mechanic we trust.

 

while we have seen many beautiful cars listed, almost all have been manual.  Do automatics come up for sale on occassion?

 

know of anyone interested in parting with one? We are in Bay Area, but open to shipping or regional travel.  Seeking the car for occassional weekend use, not a project nor for resale value.

There's lots of 2002s and resources for them here in the Bay area. 

 

Far fewer automatics were produced and are typically less desirable, but they do exist and come up for sale occasionally.

 

There was recently an automatic for sale on craigslist, I think it was in Sacramento.

 

You can try posting a want ad in the wanted section and/or in the Bayarea02 in the regional groups.

 

This site has a lot of great info so spend some time exploring.

I have a 75 in Anthracite, tan interior, crack free dash, repainted recently in original color, rebuilt motor With Tii pistons, new brakes, suspension, all trim refinished, all new rubber everywhere, blue plates.  I am the second owner, send me a PM if interested.

Very nice. Anthrazitgrau-metallic with Beige interior represents one of the classiest color combinations ever available on a square taillight. But rare!

Les,  Thank you.  A one owner 2002 that had been repainted red in two different shades years ago.  I had to rescue it against my better judgment but it was a labor of love.  Our son took his girlfriend to their senior prom in it two years ago before it was returned to its original color. And I didn’t pay the eBay price.
