‘73 Malaga VIN 2590923 originally purchased by David Zivnuska of Moraga, CA... The car wound up in Boulder CO with owners #2 (Robert Steinway, ‘95-‘02) and #3 (David Mohseni, ‘02-‘06), before returning to California with owner #4 (Peter Oxenbol, ‘06-‘18). The earliest photo of the car is from ‘98 when it graced the cover of of the BMWCCA Rocky Mtn Chapter newsletter.

Is this your car?

Yes, this is the 'Beaconwood' car that was featured a lot in the Roundel in the early 80s. It's back in New England after being up and down the Eastern Seaboard a bunch of times. It no longer has the Alpina stripes but still has most of the incredible stereo system that Al Cath installed.

I would love to see more old pictures of it if anyone has any.

Did you attend Stanford or did you grow up in Palo Alto? I ask because that's where I'm from.

Our  74 Tii at Heavenly Valley  South Lake Tahoe in maybe 1977

A fabulous car , chock full of great memories.

Drove this car everywhere for 7 years and sold it for more money than we paid for it

Made a lasting memory. Consequently  We've had 6  2002s since

I'd just like to report that I saw Rob (rstclark) yesterday with his current tii which, for all intents and purposes, was a dead ringer for the one shown in his 1974 tii in Lake Tahoe (see above).   Color and everything - but no roof racks for skis.  And Rob hasn't change a bit - me neither.  If anyone believes either of those claims, I've got a bridge to sell you...

Found some old shots while cleaning recently, both are my father's old cars. The tii was Black on top of the belt line trim and Malaga below - 2762229. That license plate is now on my 318ti.

The Bav is just cool. Those cats really liked the cars.

Circa 1980 when I was a ski bum in Steamboat. I had a 74 02 (still remember serial number 4226278) at the time, and this guy in town had a roundie with the greatest license plates. At the time, you could tell which county you lived in in CO by the two letter prefix on the plates - so Routt County was WZ...

Have some pics in no particular order, mostly late 90's early 2k, I think that is when I purchased a decent resolution digital camera.

I'll start with the 020202 poster, my car is 9 down 7 right.

I know a few more cars, hopefully Forum members can identify their own.

I lot of the following are from Fest West, and local JP BayArea02 events.

Oh and 020202 @ Spartanburg, my then GF surprised me with plane tickets to the event, yes of course I married her.

I was looking for, but could not find pictures of our trip to Washington for another 02 event, ended up caravanning with RT and somehow led the drive to Mt St Helens. (I had just visited the day prior)

I have such great memories, met some amazing peeps, one of you actually officiated my wedding while the rest watched me bumble my wedding vows.

I would post more but a lot of the pictures have recognizable faces.
