I can't believe I'm weighing in on this...but thats correct unless you have a CONTRACT...the NFL players have a union, and under the agreement between the union and the owners, the players have a right to take a knee.

Yes, but you are making my point.  If true, that would be a contractual right.  It is not a free speech right.  If you could even properly call it a "right."  I suppose it might be a private "property right," but its not  "right," right.

And even then, that is somewhat suspect as the league could just order that they all stay in the tunnel until after the anthem which is what the league historically did for its entire history before 9/11.

Okay, I am ordering myself not to post on this or anything else for the next week as punishment for contributing to this totally off topic, topic.  As amusing as it was at times.

Sorry, could not help myself.

Oh, dear, can we just all sign a letter of agreement that this thread is dead, and der furor was more of a little squabble?

And while 'free speech' on this board's really up to Steve (because he owns it)

the idea from day one was that it was very much uncensored within reason-

but we could pound verbal hell out of the nitwits.  Until it got really silly...

more of an effect of coincidence...

Pretty much when you get to the jumping the shark or in the toy biz you do "glow in the dark" it's the end of an era and yet this thread lives on.

Not to be ominous, but given how much time you've spent there, you will soon learn that the actual truth and Ben's truths are not always mutual...

Ask Ben about all the "authentic" Alpinas he has, and I'll show you the die stamps he made me use to fraudulently stamp Alpina serial numbers on blocks and heads for him to sell and use as "authentic", and then we will discuss Ben's honesty.

So now you've possibly committed libel and defamation against your former employer.  I hope you can prove what you posted as fact.  You may very well have to in court.  Way to go.

Not sure why the crowd is being so tough on DerEuro?  After reading these last posts about specific examples of what he saw and dealt with... I would say “Thanks” for revealing the truths. I cannot imagine DerEuro is so blazen to make up these examples???

Randy,

I don't think anyone's been hard on him.  Frankly, I think he's probably pretty good at making things hard on himself regardless of whether or not what he's posted is true.  It's obvious he doesn't take criticism well based on his responses.  Further, he keeps posting even after (at least) half the group has reacted negatively.  He's clearly enjoying the "back and forth" dialogue.  These things don't add up to "would-be" small business owner to me.  In fact, I'm starting to wonder if DerEuroFuhrer is even who he portrays himself to be.  Its possibly he's just a disgruntled customer of 2002AD and is stirring up shit.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
