Built brackets and installed some E30 sport seats.

Looks great! Did you get the drivers seat to center up to the steering wheel?

I happened upon some seat brackets/sliders from an early e28 that I am going to mount up but they need a little trimming. They are cool because they have about 2” of vertical adjustment and they are the slider.

Those look pretty similar to the passenger bracket on my seat. For some reason one had a vertical style slider and the other a more burly flat style slider. Maybe one was an earlier seat? Who knows:)

I did actually narrow the drivers seat rails 1 1/2” which makes it as close as I can get it to centered short of hacking into the trans hump and relocating the center bearing tabs.

Installed new door seals (BMW) and door cards, and of course, the door didn't close too well.    After looking at it, I determined that the plywood door cards were just a bit too long, so I removed them, trimmed the plywood by about 3/8", and re-glued/stapled the vinyl.  Door still sticks out a bit, but closes much better now.  Hopefully, the rubber will compress over a period of time.

I got a message from URO a couple of weeks ago wherein they informed me that there is a design change in the works to make their seals fit better, however, it will be months before they have the manufacturing ability to change them.  Something to do w/ a new location for facilities.

Is the pattern on the bottom seat supposed to be wider than the top?

I didn't notice that until a test fitting and by then it was way past the return period. I decided to go forward and finish it and enjoy the project.
