i'm 47 already....

1)1954 international harvestor PU with 'three on a tree' (kept it for 15 years and had trouble giving it away back in 1991 long after i moved from home and parents complained.

2) 1968 VW Bug inherited from older sister

3) 1962 356 Porsche Type B (very brief affair, too rusty for my student life)

4) 1978 Toyota wagon-like car (got me around for a year or so)

5) 1974 BMW 2002 (over restored this POS and cured me of any inclination to repeat that nonsense, gave it away in 2004)

6) 1969 Chevy 3/4 ton PU (loved that truck, left it behind in Indy)

7) 1980's Chevy Cavalier rust bucket DD (thankfully stolen before i could replace the failing clutch)

8) 1974 02tii (bought someone's resto/go-fast toy, sold it in Indy)

8) 1989 Acura Legend 5spd bought used 80K miles, now at 182K, my DD

9) 1974 Ford 3/4 ton PU (saved it from certain death, gotta have an ugly truck in my life, wish it were an automatic)

10) 1975 02, (my $930 eBay impulse buy and the start of my addiction. i knew it was a better car than my first 02, immediately, nephew owns it now)

11) 72 02 parts car/ 5spd RIP

12) 71 02 bought for parts ($200) decided to keep it

13) 71-late 02 bought it for engine and rehabbed it completely (my current fun-car)

14) 73tii rusty crusty parts car, paid too much. hope to restore it someday

15) 73 automatic virtually rust-free non-running formerly inka. hope to return to stock condition for my sister.

16) 73tii rusty shell given to me by fellow FAQ'er cuz no one else would take it. i traded for the matching VIN motor. paid 3 years of back registration to save it.

17) 68 1602 w/ SR. all i wanted was the nosepiece and fenders but owner insisted i take the whole car, free. how can i say no??? missing engine/tranny and interior - no problem

18) 76 02 parts car RIP

19) 75 02 given to my friend's son as his first car

20) 72tii rust-bucket in need of TLC and $, bought it for its VIN

21) 71-late 02 for parts, maybe

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation.
