Another 13" tire option

While researching 15" Vredestein tires for my tii, I noticed that Vulcan Tire carries the Vredestein classic tire lineup for those of you still running 13" tires.

https://www.vulcantire.com/sprint_classic_t.htm

For those of you running 15" tires on your 02, Vulcan carries the Sportrac 5 195/50-15 V rated summer high performance tire for $75 each.

Interesting that 205/60 x 13's are cheaper than 185/70 x 13's...

Am running the Sprint Classics 205/60 13s on 6 inch rims and handling is excellent. A great touring tire. Also have the Cinturato 185/70 13 on the original FPS alloys and they are excellent too. The former do put a little more rubber on the road  - evident in hard cornering.

Not the best pics as these were meant to highlight the car, not the tires and wheels. But they should do...

Fantastic! Good luck.

Out of curiosity, what wheels do you have? (I love wheels!!)

BTW, other threads mention 205s on 5 1/2 inch wheels but say they can be "squishy"

@AceAndrew

The current 205/60-13 Toyo RA1s do rub the outer front fenders on hard cornering, but prior Yokohama AVS Intermediates, and all others cleared well all the way back to ‘78 when the Cromodora CD40 “Dino” 13x6 et15 wheels were bought new. Both front and rear fender lips are lightly rolled.

I just wanted to see it again, Tom! I guess I’m just a sucker for a low-number tii, in Colorado, with Cromodora’s... ?

And I don’t mind that it’s only had one owner, some might... ?

Best regards,

Steve
