Past Eureka is a town called FERNDALE (along the EEL RIVER).... It has some of the best corn in the world...that is if you like corn

No rain at all, since I left Vancouver.  This last stretch I went from cool/breezy/misty on the Oregon coast to scorching back on Interstate5 and cool and clear again back at the California coast.

Sounds like everything is going well! Caveot....for the love of god, don't hit the Golden Gate on thursday late afternoon. You'll find the HWY 101 south through marin county a living hell of traffic, and the city itself even worse.

Made it to Petaluma.  101 from Eureka was a blast (fast). But got outrun by a patina TR3.  What?

Petaluma is also home to the Lagunitas (no affiliation) brewery.  I can highly recommend the tour  :-)

+1 on the tour. Samples included, I believe. May have changed since Lagunitas was acquired by Heineken.
