other Ludwig hits the quarter million mile mark

Finally happened today--my 73's odometer rolled over from 49999 to 50000--for the fifth time.  Since Ludwig's a summer only daily driver (at least since 1984) it's taken awhile to reach the magic number:

150,000 miles in July 1993; 200,000 in mid 2003.  He had 46k on the odometer when I bought him in 1978, so the majority of the miles are mine.  Am now ten miles into the second quarter million miles.

 

Wolfgang, my '69, languishes at 224k, but all are mine.  

 

In the picture, Ludwig's on the left, Wolfgang on the right.

 

Winter's closing in, so it's getting close to hibernation time.  Light snow predicted this weekend...

I'm at 242,200 ..... should take me another 1-1/2 years to get to 250,000.

 

No languishing & 87 degrees here.  I enjoyed a morning zoom to Long Beach via the 91 and 605.
