  1. I’m in the same boat,@joebarthlow. My ‘74 has been sitting in body shop limbo. I bought the ‘73 to get me by, and in those three years I have lost my job, survived a hurricane and was diagnosed with cancer. Not a day passes without thinking of cutting bait on the ‘74 project, but I talk myself out of doing so. To the OP, do what your heart tells you. In my 40+ years playing with these cars I have sold several unfinished projects. Some I still regret doing so, but most I don’t.
  2. Thanks for all you do for the community, Steve!
  3. It ain’t pretty, but for some reason it’s photogenic.🤷🏼‍♂️
  4. I could be wrong. Maybe it was the 1600 I owned a couple of years prior to the ‘68.
  5. Great information as always, Mike! I owned 1661508 about 35 years ago and I seem to recall that it had a mechanical clutch. Not 100% sure now, though.
  6. Saw this comment and had to run out to check the H&Bs I have stashed away. Mine were also originally for E21s, but do have a raised center portion, although it is closer to 1/2". Hopefully it will be enough for them to fit my '74 2002.
  7. Me and my first one, a 1970 1600, back in 1977.
  8. Took another drive yesterday.
  9. I love this build! Thanks for the play by play, Ryan. Those widened steelies are awesome.
  10. Some shots from last week:
  11. Hey Harry, I am new to his forum and recently bought a 2002. It was more like a rescue mission of a 2002 somewhat abandoned in the hills of Comerio. I am in San Juan and have been a car restoration enthusiast for a couple of years. I have posted some inquiries in this forum and someone recommended that I connect with you. Mucho gusto. I have been doing a lot of work in the car given the availability of time with the COVID-19 LOCKDOWN but I am a few months away from being able to get this car on the road. Do you know of a good electromechanic that can help me decipher the wiring mess I inherited? I have been labeling and organizing the wiring but I would like somebody to double check. It will be great to connect sometime when this situation is under control. Below the picture with my two 2020 prijects. Kind regards,

    Roberto

  12. I have an E21-offset set in my stash. There's a set on eBay right now. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1966-to-1974-bmw-2002-wheels/233550919239?hash=item3660b83647:g:luMAAOSw6qhei1sB
  13. Here in Puerto Rico we can go out only for medical reasons or to buy food and medications from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM. There is complete lock down from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM. 😢
