  2. I think he was not a fan of the "monochromatic look"
  3. I set aside the funds to get all my suspension bead blasted which was not cheap but in comparison, the powder coating was. I like the results and would not hesitate in doing it again. Reinforce the frame and motor mount while you have the chance, well worth the upgrade. In any case, personal choice and budget usually rules the day, IMHO

  12. Steve just to confirm, the frames from my car, an late 71 production, were that olive green. Not sure if they were painted or not but both took a great deal of time in the booth, well over a hour to get the original finish removed and prepped for powder coating.

  14. a couple of nice looking rides.....looks like you guys forgot the coasters for the drinks and a gas cap for the Malaga
  15. Gale, This is what I did and it worked out well for me, I think it took me about 10-15 to get in using a platform jack.It supported the frame nicely with a help of a few blocks to balance of the weight . I think Harbor Freight sells them or something fairly similar. In any case it worked like a charm and was also used with the front frame as well. As for the finish on the frame, I tried to get a color close to the factory original. Mine was a olive /greyish color, The powder coating I used it is fairly close IMO but not exact, then again I was not hung up on the matching it as much as I was looking for something other than black, but I digress. Another personal choice for my project. hth.....Mike
