  1. There is a shop in Port Moody and another in Newton that have experience with E10's but I have not much experience with any shops in the city. There are a couple of long term FAQ members to the site that may be able to help you with something closer.
  2. My experience has been that unless you have title for the car you are brining into Canada you will not be able to register it. If all that you have is a bill of sale, the best you can hope for is to track the car or use it as a parts car. I know each state has a different set of rules when dealing with the sale of non titled cars but the stumbling block is Canada Customs, so that "reggy" is pretty important.
  3. I have used both super fine and extra super fine wool in the initial stages of metal polishing but in either case I have found neither to not harm the surface. I have not used wet sanding as a polishing option.
  4. I have found Autosol, super fine steel wool with a vigorous soft cloth buffing works for me...
  5. I have had a few conversations with this guy about parts/other cars he has been "selling" He is a lil shady, IMHO.....Caveat emptor

  8. I was there a couple of years ago during Octoberfest so we were somewhat limited. However we stayed in Moosach which is roughly halfway from the airport and central Munich right on the tramline from the airport.(It is a about a 20 minute ride to Marienplatz station from there) It is a small district with authentic German bakeries and restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel we stayed at. It is only a 5-10 minute subway ride to the Olympic Village and the BMW museum, perfect for me, no so much for my wife. If you are there for 4 days I would recommend you get a week pass for the transit system, it gets you on both U-Bahn or S-Bahn systems. hth...Mike

  14. Once you manage to clean it up and get it to a workable, clean slate you will me much happier. Make sure you check the pillar bases. Always concern with neglected SR cars. Good luck with your journey
  15. I did have some apprehension at first but if you take your time cutting out the sections laid out in that thread and don't go crazy in doing so you can get them to fit pretty well. I took me a few cuts to get them so the seats fit square but all in all not a bad experience. I Think they look pretty good.
  16. There is a thread(E24 Seats) that is worth searching for , it goes thru the steps necessary for this install. Most of the alterations you need to make are to the back of the seats to allow the seat to sit properly in relation to the inside of wheel wells. I too simply drilled a hole to accept a bolt for the front brackets of these seats. I also fabricated a mounting bracket on the rear bulk head to support the back of the seat and another that I rivited to the back of the seats .( there was a gap of aprox. 1.5" once the seats were secured to the floor bulk head). I think most of the weight is carried across the floor bulkhead and the bottom portion of the seat that rest on the floor. I just wanted to take out the flex of the back portion seeing as it did not have much contact with the rear bulkhead. All seems to have worked out fine. Personally had more issues with getting the hat tray to fit properly, but worked out that problem too after a lot of trail and error. hth Mike edit Just found this photo documentation of the seats being fitted. http://s346.photobucket.com/user/tom1234_03/library/E24%20Seats?sort=3&page=1
