  1. VHT primer grey. Mufflers take a lot of abuse. Be prepared to respray it occasionally.
  2. Kinda hijacking this thread but no, @Stancreated such.a good replica it's impossible to tell. On topic: I've seen that AM sunroof before. It looks quite good on the 02 but does not accept the deflector.
  3. That's a great deal. Don't bother getting a quote from your local BMW.dealer. Could be double.
  4. No issues, but my glass guy AND the factory shop manual says put the lockstrip in first and install the glass/seal/lockstrip as a unit. His explanation was the factory wouldn't do two jobs when they can do it in one. I watched he and his helper install the both front and rear in less than half an hour. I've even seen the combo installed with a URO seal. Not great in the corners so not acceptable.
  5. Download that thingiverse file. Take it to a 3d print shop and have a printed.
  6. Hello Mario. I don't know anything about Schnitzer injectors. Are they a Bosch product? Please PM me with as many details as possible. Thanks, Paul
  7. The angle of the dash is critical and you have to make sure the circular vent openings have passed any obstruction. You'll need to view from below to confirm.
  8. The real problem is clutch fluid eating away at the rubber and causing it to become porous. It is otherwise closed cell foam. Solution: don't allow fluid leaks.
  9. Do LED headlights need to be "blue" white. Haven't they developed "warm" white bulbs like the 1157 marker lights, without sacrificing brightness?
  10. Just saw Pat's caution "MAKE SURE THE TRANSMISSION IS IN NEUTRAL". I use my tune box for setting valves. Only once did I forget. I drove onto the tip of my shoe. I was lucky. DON'T FORGET TO MAKE SURE THE TRANSMISSION IS IN NEUTRAL.
  11. The KF pumps are workhorses and it's more often the check valves or injectors that fail. Occasionally the suction valves will fail but that's usually due to being dormant. A new belt can't hurt and line up all the marks (TDC). - crank pulley - plastic cover - pump bracket - pump sprocket I mark my pulley and plastic cover marks with yellow paint.
  12. Nah, I sanded and ground down existing surfaces back to clean and then re-applied undercoat and final coats of Inka polyurethane oil-base paint. I rely on interior soundproofing. Not too worried about sorting hardware. You'd be amazed how well you remember where parts go, after you've removed them yourself. Failing that you can use Realoem.com to confirm lengths etc. Besides, platers work by the pound. No sorting that I've heard of.
  13. Same can be said for @Conserv. Still a nice looking color, if you're going outside the 02 pallet.
  14. I replated all my hardware except studs of course. Yellow zinc.
  15. The brackets you're showing are 72 and earlier. Y brackets are correct for 73. Personally, I wouldn't bother with the L bracket. Replacement fenders are drilled after fitment to match bumpers IIRC. Factory fenders, I'm not sure. You may have to redrill your fenders. If so, be very careful to place hole so that the sides are 90 degrees horizontal. You may be lucky and the old fender holes line up with loose adjustment of the bumper or they are covered by the large rubber washers. If they are exposed you could fill the holes with stove/carriage bolts, painted or ss OR repaint the lower fenders after filling the holes.Good luck.
