  1. Beautiful! 220hp! Wow! Must be a hoot. No front bumper. I'd be so nervous. Look forward to seeing it at Burgers and BMWs someday. Congratulations.

  3. Me too! Maybe they were thinking that the trunk board is too abrasive on the hoses and clamps? Hmm, anyone want to design and print one in a 3D printer?
  4. Thanks. I've become a labeling freak since I got my heat gun (10 bucks at Harbor Freight) and clear shrink tubing. If there is one thing I hate about old cars is the pathetic job POs do when wiring accessories. I vow to make the understanding of the wires and routing as straight forward as possible. Note: 73s didn't come to NA with that switch (or wiring). I routed it myself.
  5. Not the greatest phone pic of the new LED bulbs. They are actually more subtle but still much brighter than the originals. I bought the "warm" white bulbs as recommended by @visionaut. See page 1 of this thread for the source. Superbrightleds.com shipped to me for $16 and they arrived 2 days later IN CANADA! Great service. I only replaced the 4 gauge illumination lights, not the oil, alt, highbeam or signal bulbs.
  6. I believe @mo02 (Mo Faraz, decal master) says use brake fluid. Try a little on a hidden area of the vinyl first. I haven't tried it myself.
  7. Found this shot on FB. Anyone here? Love the picture, car, and wheels.
  8. Silver plated. Metal is body color. Deadening material on angled surface and backside of firewall is black.
  9. Welcome Jackie! I also see the reservoir is very low in fluid. Once you have replaced the line to the clutch MC fill the reservoir and double check that your slave cylinder is pushing the clutch fork fully before attempting to drive. Although the slave and MC are self-bleeding, you may want to bleed the slave.
  10. Huh. So, is the ignition key buzzer different than the seatbelt buzzer? I (think I) found the seatbelt buzzer module just below the seatbelt warning sign on the dash.
  11. I looked at the tii wiring diagrams and searched relays but I can't determine where this circuit is used. I'm cleaning up my stash of loose parts and came across this. I'm hopeless at reading electrical diagrams and couldn't even find the GR-BR, GR-WS wire codes in the diagram. Brighter minds required. Thanks
  12. Respirator and ventilation. Had to say it. Have fun.
  13. My garage is not heated and is great for cooling my beer if the kitchen refrigerator is full. I've tried everything to heat the garage easily, quickly, and to summer temperatures for painting and general comfort (while laying on my back on the concrete). A compact, 4800w, 240v, "garage" heater does the trick. It was $100 at Home Depot. One of the best investments I've made. It also has a thermostat so it is not running all the time, otherwise my power bill would be crazy. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Dyna-Glo-Pro-4-800-Watt-240-Volt-Electric-Garage-Heater-EG4800DGP/304663393 I can heat the garage to 70°F in 20 minutes. It's a beast! I parked the heater in front of my car while I used rust inhibitor and oil-based paints to refinish the bottom of the car. I opened the garage door 18" to allow the forced air (and fumes) to escape the garage. In the following picture it was -4°C (24°F) outside. 22°C (70°F) in the garage. I love my heater!
  14. So is your car a tii? Your explanation could be that you want to convert your 02 to a tii and you are asking questions about fuel delivery. Specifications call for 28.5 psi minimum at the KFish. The E28 pump delivers that and more. You will also need a fuel return to the tank (from the Kfish). I suppose you can mount a pump in the trunk or possibly in-tank.
  15. It's one of those tilt-push-tilt-wiggle-push situations. Mine slid in quite easily once I found the correct angles. The final trick is to position the lower tray to complete the last move into position. On the later cars, I believe it is a must to do this job without the windshield in position. The two screw/nuts that replaced the wedge-studs are in no-mans-land under the windshield.
  16. The tutorials that I've read recommend removing and installing the dash with the defrost parts attached. I did this and it wasn't difficult. I can't imagine putting them in after.
  17. You are probably right, but they appear to throw cold (blue) white light. Warm white is more like the original incandescent light except brighter, I hope.
  18. Bushings could be failing. Easy to replace parts though. I would do fluid change twice to wash out gearbox. Use Redline MTF.
  19. What's the goto fix. Are they cold white or warm white bulbs? Or a choice. Dimmable?
  20. Is there a better solution for lighting the heater controls?
