There are lots of comments on the CN36 here and on the 911S forum. Falken has a very cost-effective alternative...it's a good-looking all-season, but I won't be testing the turn-in response and corner speed on this car

I have a set of modern 165/80 13 Falken all-seasons on my car and I love them. The speedo reads slightly under actual per the radar signs, but the wet traction is awesome and they don't howl when I push it. Worlds better than the crappy no-name 185s the car came with.

Rubbing does not look like an issue on your yellow car, but I'm wondering what the O.P.'s offset is.

I think 185/70/13s are about the limit on e21 5 1/2" rims with an ET18.

Andrew appears to be running 5 x 13, ET28, late OEM alloys, an optimal size and offset for easy fitment. Proving that every ‘02 is different, I’ve heard testimony that 205/60’s will rub badly on some ‘02’s, but not rub at all on others. ?

Best regards,

Steve

Paul,

My avatar, a Cibie Z Beam, was thoughtfully provided to me by Tom because Tom was growing weary of hearing me sing the praises of the Z Beam.... ???

We all become famous for something!

Best regards,

Damn it, Paul.

... I thought we were friends.

Wait... What! Now Paul is unloading all those 15" rims on the poor square taillights!  ?

The gloves are off. I'm countering with my newly-formed "Square Taillights are for 13" Lovers" campaign!  If Tom joins, we'll already be up to... lemme see... two members... ?

Best regards,

Steve

On a square tail...maybe.?

ooooooo.... roundie elitism.

I will concede, before I bought I would have preferred a roundie. But after much searching, a square tail is what I found.  You can’t pick your kids, but you love them with all their foibles.  You can pick you wife though...

i will say though, I can put a beer on my bumper while working on it.  Do that on a roundie!  ?

Square tails make better surfing vehicles.  You can sit on the rear bumper when you're changing into your wetsuit. ? Also, the rear bumper actually offers some protection if you get rear ended AMHIK.  I will never do a bumper conversion on my 74tii.

Yes, sir!  You are in, Jimmy! ?

And with your membership, the “Square Taillights are for 13” Lovers” campaign has exploded to... lemme see... three members! ?

Car is looking good! I notice that it has just the right ratio of rim to car!

Best regards,

Steve
