Lol, yes indeed, that's the 8-bolt flywheel hub of the crank we're looking at there.  I never realized that crank was so darn symmetrical!  Might want to double check the piston orientations too at this point, just in case!

whats the correct orientation for the pistons?

That may be a problem in pinching off the flow of oil, which would explain one reason why you spun a bearing.

 

maybe? but i dont think so, thats how it was when i took off the timing cover.

There is probably more information you need than this thread is capable of addressing. Turn the crank around as mentioned. The main caps are usually numbered. The bearing locks sit lock to lock. The rod caps are numbered according to the jug. That number sits on the exhaust side. Rhe bearing locks sit opposite each other. 1 is the nose. 4 is the aft jug. As mentioned it does not look like the oiler tube is sitting correct nor the chain guide. The tensioner rail should eventually stand up and the tang at the top bend of the rail sits in the cup of the lower chain case cover. This all assumes you have had the crank inspected measured and polished as well as the block at the main that spun.........etc.......etc. im not familiar with your repair manual, but besides the FSM, the haynes is pretty decent

Yea all thats done. Just one more thing do the grooves on the main and rod caps opposite from each other or are they on the same side?
