i can only suggest that you post the VIN in case they try a re-paint in a new color and it's passed along.  i'm sorry for your loss.  is it time for the rest of us to put a transponder, ala, Lo-Jack, on our vintage cars?

It's 2762265. Being factory black (the rarest color) they'd be fools to repaint it, but I suppose they're already fools ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've got a original Schwartz Tii. I think it's a 1973. I can let you have it for what I paid for it (I think it was $12K or so) . Bought it off e-bay a few years ago. Runs and drives great, no rust, california car.

 

Everyone else, please don't e-mail me asking if this car is for sale.......it's not......but I'd be willing to sell it to Kittens.

I will keep my eyes nice and peeled here in Bishop... There's not many 2002's here so it'd stand out. What a shitty situation. Ugh....
