I just got home...such a great time, I reconnected and met many of you here for the first time....yet totally missed crossing paths with a number of you as well!!!

It was a great weekend. I went to the Historic Races only, which were less crowded than in the past, which is a good thing (I guess there are now too many other events going on to compete for peoples' attention).

 

I was parked in the lakebed for at least part of the day from Friday till Sunday afternoon; I wish I had run into more of you, but I was prowling the paddock and watching races most of the time.

 

Lots of great pics have already been posted, so I will post some of one of my favorite race cars at the event, a BMW M10-powered Chevron B8. It is an absolutely gorgeous car; not only is it immaculately prepared, but it also looked quite fast on track. The owner saw me peering into the rear grille opening and was gracious enough to open the engine lid so I could check it out:

 

(There was also a second, white Chevron/BMW B8!)

Some various 02's I shot while walking around. Super cool meeting the 2002faq crew! Loved seeing all the cars out there but especially the larger number of 2002's in lots of different conditions and configurations. I could only attend Sat and Sun but really needed a few more days.

Missed that but the factory car had problems too. Can you spot the issue?

DTM,   Mille Grazie !!!!!  thank you for posting so many beautiful pictures. Tesoro in his perfect black bodywork, the only BMW 700 RS, NK cars and more, cars of 2002 friends , and much of the beautiful spirit captured in your photos for those of us who could not be there.

 

Please I realize it was a lot of work to post them but if there are more they
