So I spent a great day under my car grinding and blasting 40 years of gunk off of the underbelly, and was so excited I showed my wife some before and after pictures of my accomplishment. Upon seeing this picture, she said..."Now I know why you like this car, that looks like a pus**y!" Upon further contemplation, I must admit.......

and mine just asked me how I plan to support myself and my car for the next 30 years.  I said, "for each 30-day segment I can keep breathing, I'll get another pension check and another social security payment, and those will keep me in gas, oil, insurance, shotgun shells, and beer."  What else does a guy need to stay happy ??

it makes sense, and explain to a certain degree why our wives (or partners to be politically correct) hate our relationship with these cars, for them they are the other women, especially when they see the cash we spend on them. Whenever you spend big bucks on a 02 part also buy a nice gift for your wife, then you will be allowed for a Ménage à trois!

You showed her pictures of "cleaning porn"?  I have folders full of before and after pictures of my car's dirty bits.  I've shared many of the pictures here, but I'm sure the wife would be bored to death.

 

In her defense she supports my obsession whole-heartedly.
