Has anyone tried these seats out? I am interested in the Monte Carlo.

They seem really well made. If anyone has had any experience good or bad with these I'd like to get your input.

I've looked at these also but haven't come across too many BMW folks who own them. If you look on some of the Porsche forums though you'll find many folks who have them and I have yet to see a bad review of the seats or the guy (Stefan, I think) who runs the company.

I've sat in some seats made by them and I can say first hand that they are excellent quality and very comfortable. One of these days I will have a pair...

I was saving my pennies until I found the current Recaros "local."

These guys offer a nice product with great design.

Sport S is where its at. Its based on the 2002 Turbo Recaro.

Thanks for the responses. Yea, Eurotrash I was looking at the sport s also, the perforated leather/corduroy, but damn they're spendy! $300 more than the monte carlo.

I was so tired of my ass hurting with my E21 Recaros that I had Classic Car Seats (Stefan) make a custom set even before paint and bodywork. I don't regret it either... they are so comfortable. I went with the Sebring seats... price gets $ but I had custom fabric inserts, lumbar adjustment to driver's seat, tilting bracket for the passenger seat, widened the driver's seat to fit my wide backside...

I still need to re-do the mounting bracket setup to something more permanent, but I think they will look awesome with my anticipated color change to Derby...

Just talked to Stefan about finally ordering them for my 66 mustang... he is expecting his shipment of monte carlo frames to come in the first week or so of March. He is great to work with... really goes out of his way to make sure you're happy. He has the perfect match for the rosette pattern used in the stock stang seats. Also, since my application is a convertible I don't want the seat back too high... once he gets them in we are going to compare measurements to determine if he will shorten the back any... AND he is going to install seat heaters with switches in the seat!! Point being he's great to work with.

I come down to Seattle some... if you're not in the need for them soon maybe we could hook up sometime and you can sit in them... I suspect my car won't be on the road until May (he said he's several weeks out plus I have other upgrades going on).
