  1. I would sand/media blast it. I'm fortunate to have a facility by me that will rent their blast cabinets for $17. an hour.
  2. Matching luggage would of got it sold .☺️
  3. No disrespect but for the most part bottle caps do nothing for me. I do like the three piece version though. Always said I build my cars for me. I don't care what other people think. If you like them, that's all that matters ,get them. I don't like to yuk on someone else's yum.
  4. Agree, leave the thread it's fine. I don't quite understand allll the outrage. Very nice 02 GLWS. If your serious on selling you need a good for sale ad in the classified section. Asking price $$ what's been done to it in your ownership. You can link the BaT sale. I wouldn't worry about what you paid for it. It's been a couple of years and the BaT price is somewhat irrelevant at this point. Car should do much better. If not sure what it's worth, just ask here. You can see people are more than happy to give their opinion. BaT would bring the most money.
  5. Agreed, for glass out paint job appears nothing underneath was cleaned or prepped . I would want to see in person before purchase. I have a feeling he's pretty proud of his work. Good Luck with this.
  6. Same as Mike's experience. Sand fit, sand fit. Joys of a 50 year old car.
  7. Condor Speed Shop carries very similar $25. I have them on my 02 and have used them for tie down on a trailer with no problems. BMW Tow Hooks | Trailer Tie Downs | BMW Performance Upgrades WWW.CONDORSPEEDSHOP.COM Minimize damage on your brake lines by purchasing Condor Speed Shop DTM Tow hooks and trailer tie downs. Shop our performance upgrade parts for your BMW!
  8. @Howardpowered posted this a couple days ago. Was going to ask about a review.
  9. I have a battery kill switch. I also bought "The Club" for like seven dollars, mostly for a visual deterrent . I'm thinking of getting the wifi 123 distributer over the winter. I like the PIN feature to disable the ignition. Also might get an Apple Air Tag. I lust after an e30 M3 but struggle if the paranoia of owning one will out way the enjoyment.
  10. Agreed to it being a later front nose piece. As that has been stated here most likely front end damage and replaced with whatever they could find at the time. Correct nose piece is available from MVP for $895. plus add $$$ the grill plus paint and bodywork. Fixable yes but not cheap. Question would be price of the 2002, overall shape and what do you want to do with the car ? Just drive it or try and restore it .
  11. This and the amount of water that gets in the trunk when I wash it. I think mine is vented enough.🙁
  12. Mine is kinda like a puppy, needs constant attention and known to leave a puddle on the floor every now and then. It followed me home and women think it's cute.
  13. I have lusted at that car on more than one occasion. Stunning
  14. I think my Son summed it up best. "For all the comotion were not going very fast"
  15. PO had mounted battery in trunk. Mine is grounded to the shock tower. I've had zero problems so far, three years. My E39 Touring has the battery in the far back corner with a 6" ground with a 10mm bolt thats it from factory. Future plan is to mount a battery under rear seat to claim back the trunk space. Your car do as you please I think. Looks like you did a nice job.
  16. I think that is how the parking brake cable attaches to brake caliber. If serious about the kit I'm sure Blunt would answer any question.
  17. My guess is older MSW Wheels. http://www.2002parts.com/bmw/14-previous/14msw.html
  18. I purchased a Sealskin car cover a while back for around $75. Not a bad cover, fit could be better but heavy enough for outside use if needed. Inside has some pretty soft material.
  19. Deposit for car has been accepted. Car is SOLD Thank You to all that reached out
